    Breakfast with the MSR Reactor
    Thank you for taking the time to click the video, Breakfast with the MSR Reactor.
    This week I take a look at the MSR Reactor Stove, designed to be one of the most fuel efficient stoves on the market. So in on a cold January morning I took it for a test drive and boiled up some water for a Tent Meals Breakfast and Hot Chocolate.

    The MSR Reactor is the best burner system I’ve ever used. I have the 1 liter pot for backpacking, and the 1.7 liter pot for base camp, or melting snow in winter. I’ve used the system down to -10 Deg.C with no issue. It’s an awesome system 👍🏻👍🏻🇳🇴

      I agree, it's a fantastic bit of kit, always my go to when all I need to do is boil water for dehydrated meals. Thanks for watching, and taking the time comment..Atb G🐾

    best fastest fuel efficient wind, cold, and altitude weather canister stove hands down. Not the lightest the jetboil titanium sol is lighter but not as fuel efficient nor as robust of a build. can't lose with this stove. I have had mine for at least a decade and still a power house with great fuel efficiency.

    Very nice video, great production and editing 👍 from experience, I know just how much work goes int a film like this. Also, I now think I need to get myself one of these MSR reactors! 🙂

      Good morning! What luck on my oart that you watched this video!
      I don't often do reviews and I only review kit I really like so it's quite rare. I often do silent videos with no commentary,
      Now ! I'm in the market for some new optics! Ideally 10 x 32! Have to be sturdy and waterproof and able to stand the cold. I have a budget of £200...any recommendations?

    I have the MSR Windburner which uses the same technology, that is an integrated wind screen and radiant heat burner. Not only do I heat my water efficiently I am able to cook eggs and bacon right on a skillet without burning them. Also after removing the skillet or water pot I use the radiant burner as a local (in well ventilated areas)heater. Warming my hands and face for a couple of minutes because of the infrared energy like hot red coals in a fire to do it. Obviously I figure in how much fuel I want to expend for this function.

    Bye the way ......your 1.0L Pot is the less fuel efficient Pot of the three Sizes, MSR is offering for the Reactor Stove.. Thats the only reason I have the MSR Windburner for shorter Solo trips outside Winter Seasons. Longer trips from 2-3 weeks up or all Winter Season I only use the Reactor 1.7L.
    Only for very cold climate Trips, I´Il prefer the MSR XKG II with the 2.3L Reactor Pot plus MSR Heat exchanger instead.
    I use my Reactors since 2008.......AWESOME........and to eliminate the wrong roumers floating around......YES IT COULD SIMMER......

    Was originally looking at Jetboils but gradually found my way here. Looks great but for the price it should be a titanium pot etc.. Currently using the MSR pocket rocket and titan kettle. Great setup but terrible in the wind, so much wasted fuel.. At this point the Reactor 1L is at the top of a very short list.. thanks for the review…

      Hi Simon, if you check some of my other vids (24 hours in a hammock, Great Glen Way, Ben Nevis) all have the reactor in. Thanks for watching, Atb G🐾

    A stove should be able to heat water, cook food, and use different pot/pans, this stove is a one trick pony that is heavy & expensive. Its a rubbish stove, poor value for money.

    • @bravogolfoscar
      @bravogolfoscar  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A variety of pans are now available for this stove, but as you've pointed out....they to are expensive. Thanks for watching, Atb G🐾
