Gotta give Kiki credits for her mindset! Her mentality has improved a lot!
The problem with Camila Giorgi is that, as I have said on other occasions, she has her father as a coach and that is not productive. She has to be trained by a good coach, but that is not familiar.

Het zit Kiki wel allemaal mee sinds de WTA Finals maar goed dat maakt niet uit. Erg knap wat er allemaal gebeurt en ik vind dat de sportpers in Nederland te weinig aandacht geeft aan de tennissport in meest brede zin als gevolg van de goede prestaties van Bertens. Het is ongelooflijk knap wat ze presteert.
I’m Dutch and I thought it was quite funny what Bertens said to her coach during the break after winning the second set. She said: “Jesus Christ.” Coach: “Jesus Christ what?” Kiki: “Bad start!”

Ja, Kiki is een nuchtere meid zij heeft tenmiste interactie met haar coach, in tegenstelling tot veel speelsters die hun coach totaal negeren tijdens de coaching.

Camilla Giorgi is so good but is always unable to finish a game, i love her but inam always frustrated when she lets go of this kind of opportunities 😭
Couldn’t agree more. This is a huge problem when you reach this professional level and the lack of emotional control costs you a lot of $$$

I love watching Giorgi play, love her attacking style of tennis. She doesn't seem to be able to improvise, though. I wish her the best.

Lol look at all the people who are not giving Kiki credits.. Camila did what she could be Kiki just refused to give up, and under all this pressure Kiki turned it around, that's what i call a very good mind, she has a lot of matches where she comes back from the dead.. and now she does it again! when Kiki stops being a Diesel, she can win a lot more matches fast.
Camila lost it like I’ve seen too many times. Camila had the tie break and she donked it. It was hers to lose and she did.
What I like about Kiki is her positive attitude! She starts to become a real top 10 player for knowing how to win when she is not playing the best tennis of her. Consistency is really important for young generation and she will get better and better if she has what it takes to fight. And it happens to be all Giorgi needs. Giorgi is really dangerous as always but swallowed so many painful losses to top players. Her camp should be able to do something to deal with the situation. It must be hard to take the result after early leads. She just needs something else other than great strikes. Her serves may need to be improved. And she looks so tense somehow.
Prime example of why Camila should be regarded as a massive underachiever. Has the talent to dominate just about anybody, but doesn't quite have the killer instinct. Still love to watch her though, and I'm sure she's happy with the career she's having.
I think that's the bad thing. She's comfortable with her game and where she is. there's no drive really, just a pay check.
@@onetwocue One might say that's a healthy way to be I suppose. She's happy in her private life, got a loving family, enjoys her "job", is comfortable in her skin, makes good money. You could say that people who are desperate to always win and get the most out of themselves are somewhat dysfunctional and unbalanced.
She may have talent, but she’s so incredibly one-dimensional.
@@RaphaelBas1995 if one-dimensional can bagel the world number 9, then it's good enough I guess. Most of the WTA is very similar
The 3rd Coat True, but a bagel means nothing if she can’t follow that up with a win. This a match she really should have won, but her style of play is too inconsistent, and many errors are to be expected.
Lol, lots of comments about how pretty Cami is (she is), but not a lot about her tennis technique. Cami seems to hit quite flat; not much margin for error there. Similarly, did you see how much pace there was on her serve? I saw 180+ kph. She has no problem generating speed, but I would suggest she needs a bit more spin / control. It's not like she's a bad player, either. Far from it. Anyone that can bagel a top 10 player definitely know what they are doing. But what I'm talking about is making a change that adds more margin to her game. If she can raise her level by just 1%, she would have won that match.
I think you have a very good point. It would be also good mental. If you see that she won the most games and still lose. That's frustrating....

Being an expert on body language and the post-match handshake, it seems like Giorgi is a bit of an ice queen. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen her smile.
Ive said this before, its her dad. He's a freaking psycho, overbearing among other things. He absolutely dominates her and if you've read the stuff about them, its likely that she is just more awkward and reserved than an actual ice queen.

These players have more class and taste than Taylor, the pig in the pan.
Like I’ve said before, Giorgi knows nothing except how to hit the ball extremely hard. When that doesn’t work, she just tries to hit it harder. And that just isn’t going to work against more experienced and better players.
Giorgi has a very respectable record against many high ranked opponents - her style of play is also fun to watch the highlights.
Disappointed this time but there can be only one winner. Giorgi has potential to improve her ranking as much as her handshake. :-)
Stephen Humble I understand she has a decent record against top players, but I don’t see her having the consistency to put together win after win in big tournaments.
If you think that knowing just how to hit the ball extremely hard is enough to be 28 in the world, I wonder why nobody does that to build a decent and rich career in tennis. We can all be rich and famous tennis players just hitting the ball hard as we can.

Vale 90 Is there a problem here? Do you have a problem with people accurately pointing out that Giorgi is a flawed player? I don’t care if she makes a lot of money, I care that her style of play is one-dimensional.
Bringing up her success is a weak defense at best. You clearly didn’t like that I’m not a fan of Giorgi’s game, so you fell back on, “well, she’s rich and famous, are you?” Yeah, I’m not rich and famous. But I have the right to critique if I see fit. And if you can’t deal with that, that’s your problem.

Feel so bad for Camila but this is her usual style. Fiery in the beginning but cannot maintain it. Still hopeful for a huge breakthrough from her.

Camila was tired in this tournament because she had played the Fed Cup in Switzerland just 2 days before, while Bertens skipped the cup and prepared in Doha for a whole week. Camila will do well in Dubai.
Giorgi is in great shape and hits some great shots but she started missing and Bertens just dug in and kept getting the balls back.
I hope Sascha Bajin to become Giorgi’s coach

Giorgi, we can put her in the top ten most inconsistent WTA players of all time. This video clearly shows it. When she's on, she can really destroy anybody with her power. But when the match becomes tighter, she cracks up under pressure. I think she needs to enjoy it more, thats when her body and mind becomes more at ease.
Camila giorgi is a great player and making lots of money...her subsequent modeling career should be nice too

Camila can be exceptional women’s tennis player. She needs to fix the following:
1. Be patient before hitting winners.
2. Serve and volley. Her is good but need to work on placement. Obviously, her net game is average. However, if she can improve her game at the net she would easily be in the top ten.
I have NEVER lost a set after being up 5-1 in a tie break.

The game!! Tennis tirns out occasionally a merciless sport. Losers are always not happy naturally. Not this way. A very precious win was slipped away from Giorgi's hand.
A strange way Bertens played today, tamed ..? Her forehand was out of order. Less so, but backhand was not as sharp as should be either! Then, how did she win the match?!! Experience makes difference. How tough mentally Bertens is! In contrast, porker face as usual, inside her mind Giorgi felt nervous. She was a clear dominant factor, but failed in crossing the finishing line. Tennis is such a fine mental game. Proved!
Lost, but Giorgi is in fine form, much better than in Fed cup (lost against Bencic). She's an exciting player to watch in 2019. So is Bertens, manifested why she's got a spot in top 10. Pressure from the other side of the net was constant & huge, while her forehand didn't work well ..... Her experience came to her rescue. How to construct game, to right errors, to anticipate crucial moments & Hold the nerve, easy to say hard to .... that's what she'd achieved today. Big applause for both fantastic players!!

They win the matches but not the fans heart! Camilas game is so entertaining to watch. Bertens just pushed back and screamed lol
We have seen so many similar matches - with different outcomes - for both players: Kiki, never giving up and so many times finding solutions and sticking until she turned around losing scores into match victories; Camilia, anihilating ANY player in the first set and then losing at the end in heartbreaking fashion. I know its hard to change the basic game dinamics in a seasoned player like giorgi who seems to trust nothing but her agressive instincts, but i mean... if the queen of agressive tennis of the last century: Serena Williams, learned herself to have a safer and a more between the margins game for certains situations, i think Giorgi could use some of that too. Camila has SO MUCH talent, presence and fearlesness in her game that is a pity if she doesnt find a way to take it to another level. By the way: learning how to give a proper and dignified handshake to her opponents should be on her "To Do" list too.

Giorgi is always playing good at the start of the game but always ends up losing as well.i see enormous amount of strength when she hits the ball but makes a lot of unforced errors.a little more fine tuning and defensive game will make her a top 10 player or even get her grand slam.she has to take the games more seriously and improve her mindset.she always nearly wins the match...

This is the problem with Giorgi a lot of attitude but inconsistent game.
When Camila is playing at her best she is the best, I swear. But I think her attitude is not the best. She has to have more fun playing. I would say her father should not be her coach.

Bertens has sadly become a pusher player. And she'll stay that way as she has more success like this. Real shame, she used to be a lot more attacking, now she wins by letting the attacker take the risks and making unforced errors.
Giorgi has all the shots, why doesnt just ditch her father and hire a better coach......

I am not part of her PR team, I'm just a big fan of a tennis player who represents my country, who displays one of the most sportsmanlike behaviors on the court (never throws tantrums, always accepts the umpires decisions, and she doesn't screech or grunts like some of those drama queens on the court), and that she suffers immensely for the loss of her beloved sister who died in a car accident a few years ago (reason why she turned cold and aloof as displayed in her behavior on the court including her "infamous" handshakes).
And now be sure to make the same lame comment the next time that Camila loses.
