This awesome!! I hope you'll be able to give women and maybe mothers and their children a safe, supportive place to learn how to live sober. I know where I live there is not many female supports as there is male. Thank you for everything you do for the sober community.
This is awesome Brandon. Just stumbled upon your video you did with Shane Reinert . Watched the whole thing. You’re a great story teller with a lot of insight into the mind of a full blown addict. I just celebrated 4 years sober on January 11th. I was an iv heroin user as well. My life has done a complete 180, I have a good job, an amazing relationship with my girlfriend and family and just bought my first home back in July. Watching your video inspired me and nudged me a little harder to keep going, never forget my past but never look back
You’re inspiring, you’re gonna change so many lives. I’m currently reading your book. Been sober for 8 years. Here’s to you - from one addict to another!
Your truly inspiring, you’ve done such a wonderful thing here, no one who hasn’t used drugs will have a clue of how hard it is to get sober, it’s the hardest thing ever in any ones life. Your amazing!
Brandon I just want to thank you. I'm a recovering addict I detoxed off methadone two months ago and I'm finally starting to get my life back. I've wanted to call you so many times, but as you know that phone is incredibly heavy to pick up. I went from being on 8 different substances to just weed and I've decided to now become completely sober. Thank you for putting the word out that there is hope for a future after addiction. The world is so cruel to addicts, we are told we are scum of the earth and nobody cares if we just die, but you putting the word out that ppl can change is amazing. The world needs more people that genuinely care like you. Thank you for you helping me see that I could get through the pain and come back better than I ever was before. Hugs!!!
Today is 24 days no drinking and 6 years off of heroin (unfortunately I found alcohol as a new addiction after I dropped opiates) I’ve been watching a lot of Brandon’s videos on here as motivation to stay sober. Thank you Brandon.
@@TheBrandonNovak Id love to chat sometime if you have the time. I lost my dad to it five days after I turned 18, I swore I’d never touch drugs and then ironically found myself buried deep in whatever I could get my hands on. I keep reminding myself of the words that you’ve said “I have to put my sobriety first, otherwise I don’t lose, but I give everything away”. The hardest part about this though, is that I know my addiction is always there. Like an invisible entity just waiting for me to slip, wanting me to slip. I’m using the gym everyday now to try to fill that void with a healthy habit. It’s funny because someone told me the other day “putting your sobriety first, before anything?! That’s kind of selfish”. I had to explain that it’s a trickle down effect. I’ve noticed in a short time that when I’m sober and healthy, it benefits people around me. Specifically my three year old son who’s my world.
I’d like to do more to help in my own community. I live on the coast of Maine in a fishing town. Unfortunately with fishing comes young men with money, and that’s lead to the loss of a lot of friends and even family. How do I get ahold of you?
I'm just a youngster from Denmark. I have never been in trouble with the law or with drugs of any kind. My baby sister struggles with marihuana and it hurts to see. But she is getting better because of people like you. People who have seen the problems first hand and felt them. You dragged yourself up from the hole and you came back strong. I thank you and many other motivational speakers for doing the right thing. From my heart thank you brother!
Good on you Brandon Novak. Love seeing your sober journey as a grateful long term recovering addict myself. All THREE sides of the triangle with Unity, Recovery and this awesome continuation of SERVICE. And I love the way you honor the 11th tradition of attraction vs promotion by being fearlessly honest. Amazing program you’re working.
You bring hope to people who have none. Your an inspiration to so many. My dad was addicted and so was my ex husband who just lost his life in april due to alcohol addiction. I love the story of recovery...I only wish my ex would have found faith and recovery before we lost him. You can love someone with all you have but I couldn't help him..he had to help himself and also love himself. He had bipolar and alcohol addiction which was a lethal combination. I will forever miss my dad and my ex husband. Addiction sucks but watching Brandon atleast gives me hope for people who suffer daily with addiction.
Congrats on the sober living house man. I think a lot of us in recovery want to do something like this for all those who are still sick and suffering. So that you’ve done it and put in the work is amazing. I’ve been clean from everything since March 19 2017 and got off of Methadone back in 2016 so this situation with Fentanyl is really new to me, only fentanyl I new about were patches and lollipops, what’s going on now is just insane man. The opioid epidemic is worse than its ever been, and it’s not getting better. Best thing we can do is make sure this shit is available for them when they’re ready. Building more places for addicts to go to in early recovery to is the best solution. Again great work Brandon very proud of u man, if u ever come out to Arizona I’d love to have u come share ur ESH at my home group No Whining Mens Stag. God bless
Congrats Brandon ! Wish best of luck for u and anyone coming there to get off drugs to better themselves and to get sober ! My birth father was one of the founders of Daytop . He was a herion addict but died from his drug use and could not continue. I’m glad u did this for drug addicts who really want help to get clean it means so much to see u did this
Novak man I been watching you all since I was a kid from the early days of yalls careers...I have been on so many substances over the years and they all started at the age 13....I am still struggling to quit my addictions and it has made me an outcast from society and from my family I have been abandoned by everyone but i still help everyone out that i love while trying to conquer my demons....please get ahold of me I am ready to die and I need help I have been thru the stages of tryin recovery and it never seems to work I believe if I get the right help i can get on the right track...I love you man keep up the good work hopefully I hear from you
This is so fkn awesome. You are an amazing man Novak. Ty for all you do for all those who need help and those who reach out and ask for your help. Ty and god bless you for your amazing heart.
@@TheBrandonNovak I've had my issues with drugs and alcohol over the years and i used to say i couldn't be social or happy without them. it's unbelievable how much better sobriety is. haters will always hate. ignore them. Your an inspiration for all of us. ✌🏼
