Excellent footage with clear and easily understood narration and captions that are easy to read and stay on screen long enough to be read. Great video, well done Matt 👏
It's probably the best CL livery in the last couple of decades in my opinion. Hopefully, one of the white CLPs can get a repaint into it. Will be missed either way, was a favourite on our Victoria trips. Matt - M&S Trains
@@MS_Trains Local pronunciations can be a bit hard to get around. Hopefully there aren't any further derailments near there. You're so correct about SSR, their eclectic collection of locos always seem to do the job for them, although maintenance and upkeep of those old girls must eat into the profits, let alone diesel fuel when there are so many locos in their lashups, not fuel efficient I imagine. Keep up the great work.
Actually more like Coo la mon to the locals much like ardlethan (ard lethan) has been called ard lee fan or Weethalle (wee phali) has been pronounced Weet Hall.....LoL
A nice little video I think a g class another clp where written off as well.
Some excellent long shots here Matt. Well done. Sad that CLF-1 has been , or will be scrapped, but - that's life.
Thanks mate! That's life indeed.

@@MS_Trains you're very welcome 👍
Great work. Great looking loco . . . Bumpy track from 5:53 LOL
Thanks mate! You'd think the mainline between Melbourne and Adelaide wouldn't be that bumpy.

Great video Matt. Love those old streamliners. Bit sad to hear about that level crossing incident.
Thanks mate! Nothing like a streamliner, especially as CL. Yes, big shame about the incident.

Brilliant footage.
Thanks, mate!

It's sad to see CLF 1 been written off after that incident with a truck near Junee. Wonder if SSR could place an order for more locos
I think I heard somewhere they've got an order for some American-built GT46 locomotives coming.

Are SSR still looking at V/line N class locomotives?
@@martinhanley23 I believe so.

@@MS_TrainsWho knows? CLP12 & CLF3 are due to get Repainted so could possibly get SSR
Shock horror it’s badly damaged and not going to be repaired. Every knew that from day one that had half a brain.
Coolamon, pronounced
cool a mun, not col oh mon. Good stuff otherwise.
Never been there, and never heard it pronounced before, so I took a chance. Oh well, I know for next time. Thanks, John.
