  • A 74km route between King's Lynn and Wells Next the Sea, with an overnight camp near Burnham Market.
Head North from King's Lynn through North Wooton following the National Cycle Route 1 signage, and a visit to Castle Rising. Then it's into the Sandringham estate, the Norfolk residence of the Royal family. Eventually the route reaches Hunstanton and we ride 3km up the promenade. This is famously one of the few places in Norfolk, that one can watch the sun set over the sea. From Hunstanton.
The route then parallels the North Norfolk coastline about 3km south, heading East from Ringstead for about 15km in a straight but undulating line.
I stop for the night at the Norfolk Brick Yard camp site.

Kings Lynn holds a very special place in my heart. It marks the first day I ever spent bicycle touring, I stayed in a Youth Hostel there in 1972 when I was at the start of a two-week tour with just me and my Mum. An amazing time and watching this brought back so many fond memories for which I am very appreciative. Thank you.

Glad you enjoyed your visit to Hunstanton, the sunsets there are amazing. Big shame the town lost its railway & pier back in the 60’s & 70’s☹️

Yes, I agree it should definitely have a rail link. That would be awesome 🚂

Lovely to follow you on the route. When I did this section it was raining, so I did not hang around to see the sights. Nice to see them on a dry day.

Awesome trip .... nice to see the Coho xc in action as I just bought one a few weeks ago to start a similar youtube endeavour with my self built e-bike ... I am a lifelong cyclist recovering from illness that took me off the bike for about 7 years leaving me kinda devastated ... thankfully I'm much better now and the e-bike has got me back out there .... so my thought was what better way to regain my fitness again than to long distance tour .... I will certainly be adding this route to the list .... thanks for uploading ...cheers :o)~

Thanks for your comment. Sorry to read about your illness, but fantastic that your getting back out there with an ebike.
How will you attach the trailer? I'd be interested to know. ATB

@@divum I have a mid drive motor on my bike and they often have chainline issues so I also fitted an Alfine 8 speed internally geared hub so I can tension the chain on a single sprocket ... so for the trailer I ordered a pair of Burley Ballz 3/8th nuts (I did chuckle ordering those ... I'm such a kid) eventually I would like to put a solar generator in the trailer with a panel on top when funds allow then I can tour without battery anxiety .... I still have all my ultralight camping kit but I've changed tack now and I'm going with a heavy canvas hooped Aussie swag ...it's freestanding with a foam mattress so basically a roll out anywhere bedroom .... but it's big and about 13kg hence the trailer ..... the bike is a bit of a Frankenbike I put together with parts from my various mountainbikes based around a Reynolds steel all mountain hardtail frame by Cotic ... I'm in the process of getting my head around filming at the moment and plan to get going very soon ... I plan to make it a full time thing as I have survived the last 5 years with little to no income as an independent artist so I really can go all in on it :o)~

I'm hoping to do the Rebellion way sometime this summer, but am familiar with much of the route already, having done Peddars way, Marriotts, Route 1 & 30 several times. your comments about Norfolk having West facing and East facing coasts reminds me, I'm also hoping to do my 'Race the Sun' Hunst'n to Hemsby overnighter in June - Nearest Friday to the shortest night, watch the sun set over the sea at Hunst'n and try to get to the East coast to see the sunrise over the sea the next morning.

Get them feet dry or you'll be coming down with Trench Foot, all those water features you keep cycling through😂😂
