Another great film, and lovely to see the clip of Norman at the end, such a massive influence in the carp fishing world. Can’t wait until the next instalment.
Hi Barry, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I’ve been sticking with the maggot feeder while using mini boilies recently. I have used a groundbait feeder a lot in the past but sometimes groundbait attracts too many bream into the swim.
@@philspinks4142 What kind of boilies would you suggest for roach? Also, does it depend on the time of the year, meaning in terms of flavour. Grear video
@@mrsage4489 I’ve found small 10-12mm fishmeal boilies work best. CCMoore pacific tuna are currently my favourite. The roach will feed on them most of the year, although when it gets really cold I tend to use maggots more.

Fantastic roach Phil, dare I say the roach are bigger than the carp.
Cracking film, i really enjoy Phils' videos, always well presented and without doubt a top angler.
Great film. Can I ask what rods you are using?
Was the Scottish lake the one near Stranraer?
Nice informative video. When you switch to mini boilies do you stick to a maggot feeder or switch to something else.
