Hey there I just wanted to give you some advice regarding your setup! Pacman frogs require a hot spot of at least 80° F so a heat pad or heat tape should be placed at one side of the tank with a thermostat. The substrate you used is fine for the frog but it needs to be at least 5" if not more deep. It also will not grow live plants as it is just coco husk and has absolutely no nutrients that plants need to thrive. It is also imperative that you thoroughly rinse all plants and remove the soil from the store that they were putting in as it liking contains fertilizer that is extremely toxic to frogs as they absorb everything through their skin. Please remove the plants and the soil and replace with organic potting soil, this is safe for your frog and will grow the plants. Rinse the plants with diluted hydrogen peroxide and water and make sure as much soil is removed before adding them to the enclosure. Please also make sure to only handle your frog with clean wet hands or with nitrile gloves. His current setup unfortunately poses many risks and frogs are not as tolerant to improper care as reptiles. Hope this helps!
I personally use a very small heating pad from Walmart, it was super cheap (like $15) and it does a great job at keeping the tank warm during the day. Also you can use semi aquatic plants if you're worried about soil like I am, I have white ribbon plants and they do great with how humid it needs to be in the frog's enclosure.
This might be even worse than petco. The tanks are way to small, and the substrate used for most or the reptiles are wrong. The leopard gecko and that king snake tank were probably the worst ones their. Wood chips should not be used, and leopard geckos need 1 cold hid which can also Double up as a humid hide, and a warm hide. They need a substrate such as reptile carpet, paper towel, tile, kitchen Liner, and if you want a loose substrate, you have to use something that doesn't cause impaction such as eco earth. Do your research!
A few tips: as doing my research as I’m planning on getting a Pac-Man frog, here’s a few things I’d recommend. Getting a heat mat as they need the heat,but do NOT put in on the bottom put in on one of the sides as Pac-Man frogs are burrowers they can get burned from it being at the bottom, also purchase a thermostat I’d recommend the ipower thermostat 40-108 degrees super simple to setup and very reliable to keep your temperature at the right rate, also id look into purchasing a thermometer and hydrometer for humidity and temp. Also,I’d recommend taking out the plants,and replacing them with some Pac-Man safe ones you can get on joshsfrogs,getting some bioactive bedding and adding a clean up crew, just a few things I thought to share also,adding some variety to its diet and upgrading its take soon as it’s already a little small for him.
Tank looks awesome! I love the tunnel idea with the bark, I did something similar with my rose hair tarantula tank. Helpful Tip: Make sure that your pacman frog's water dish water level is not too high. They can actually drown in some cases. (usually when a frog somehow is flipped upside down in the water)

You need a digital hygrometer to make sure you’re reaching accurate humidity levels. Also this ones really important!!- you need to make sure to research what plants are toxic/non toxic to your frog before putting them in.

Good choice on getting a bigger one I got mine when he was the size of a quarter and he was a pain to take care of but now he's double the size of yours so I'm sure yours is gonna do great
Great video. I have two chameleons, one of them is a rescue. I always wanted to get a pac man frog so this video help me see it’s not too hard to take care of them. Maybe in the future I’ll get one.
Next time try using some gloves when handling the frog, just to be safe. Amphibians are able to absorb harmful chemicals/oils that we have have on our hands.

Also, if you are misting regularly they do not require a water dish they will almost never use it but each frog is different. They absorb the water in the soil into their skin that's how they stay hydrated.
11:25 always make sure to dechlorinate the water you use to make eco earth. Pac-Man frogs absorbs everything through their skin. Knowing that they bury themselves in the dirt, you want to make sure that the eco earth is damped with dechlorinated water.
I'm not sure if you did but don't forget to de-chlorinate the water you use in the substrate :) unless you are on a well, then there's no chlorine or chloramines!

i build large habitats for reptiles. For the size of habitat you have created, i would give it a 7. It is pretty nice and natural. Improvements to be a 10 are add mist ad fog ad lava rock base under the soil and the heat and uvb lighting
It's a Hypno-toad (frog)!! Fun fact: u can actually hypnotize toads by putting your cellphone screen in front of them. Idk why, but they will freeze in place for as long as u keep it there. It's kinda like when a chicken is placed on a chalk line. It "gets stuck on it" as Alan Watts once said.. One time, a toad was climbing on a log, and when I put my phone over it, it kept on climbing in slow motion. It was bizarre. It climbed to the end of the log and just stood there. It's like actual zombification lol (no hypno-toads were harmed during this hypnosis)..
Nick, you need a drainage layer for live plants. Now it will just mold the roots away. Also you should have some sort of fertilizing soil for the plants. Nice paccie! I love em

my dude its not safe to carry a pac-man, their skin is super sensitive and will break when touched which can cause them major pain and damage.
As long as your hand is wet and clean it’s fine to handle but not for an extended period of time
