In the Ahsoka Series, during the flashback of the Siege of Mandalore, Anakin tells Ahsoka, "Within you will be everything that I am, all the knowledge I possess". This suggests that Ahsoka learned psychometry from Anakin, the ability to sense the past through objects and surroundings. So, Anakin sensed everything that happened there at the crash site of the Tribunal. Holding Ahsoka's light saber and using psychometry, Anakin could see the struggle that Ahsoka endured, so he knew that she survived.
Only problem is, Anakin gave those sabers/crystals to Ahsoka. So he’d be killing Ahsoka with Anakin’s bled crystal. Assuming the Temple doesn’t just have a junk drawer full…
So here is something to consider about when Darth Vader finds Ahsoka's lightsabers. If we look back on revenge of the sith and Obi-Wan, we see that Vader's chest mantle is uncovered. However in Star Wars Rebels, Rogue One, and A New Hope it's partially covered. It's very hard to notice it at first in the scene when he finds Ahsoka's lightsaber, But his chest mantle is covered in the same manner as in A New Hope. So he would have gone to locate the lightsaber sometime after the events of Obi-Wan and before the events of Star Wars Rebels if not during season 1 of Rebels
The fact that the shuttle is an imperial one and not the leftovers from the war is telling too. So it’s anywhere between 2 years or 10 years have past at least by then
nah the Lambda-Class T-4a Shuttle was released in 19bby which is the same year order 66 occured, so though the shuttle doesnt help telling when, i do assume it was probably in between 0.5-2 years maximum, i doubt it would have taken long to find the crashed venator
This is my take, put Ansoka in the next Star Wars movie with Rey, & Ahsoka can rebuild the Jedi Temple, as Rey fights off, tyrants throughout the galaxy
My head cannon says this is just after the Battle of Hoth. After the events of Empire Strikes Back. Empire came back to sweep the Hoth system. The moon is another moon in the system. So the whole moment is him reminiscing about everything. He just met his son for the first time. Now, he was thinking about Ashoka. Blue blade was to signify him moving back toward the light.
I don't think he thought she was dead. Who else but Ahsoka would have spent that much time setting up the clone memorial with all of the helmets? He knew she had done that and then symblically discarded her lightsaber.

Vader is following up on clues from the Imperial Probe Droid that landed on the planet that Asoka and Rex crashed on 20 years previous.
I don't think killing Ahsoka was his original motive. He didn't seem like this in the "You abandoned me, you failed me" vision of Ahsoka. Also, when they first met face to face, Vader said "We need not be adversaries".
You know the rey lightsaber may not be Anakin's lightsaber it may be Darth Vader's with a healed Crystal so the Luke hand lightsaber may still be out there floating in space because Anakin's lightsaber is almost identical to Darth Vader's.. I would love to see the movie per se not even about the people exactly but more about the swords the Darth Vader sword battling the Anakin sword I meant the Luke sword because the second lightsaber or third now
