I’ve had the honor of portraying Pvt Adam Schneider, Company, C, 183rd Ohio at Franklin. I’ve slept on the ground there and at Carnton and nothing could replace it.

Great video. My ancestor was BG Ruger. It is nice to see a description of units under his command. I look forward to learning more about the battle and the role played by 2nd Division XXIII Corps had in the action. This action ultimately resulted in Ruger's promotion to Major General. Battery Ruger, located in Diamondhead HI, is named after him.

Thanks for a better explanation of 183rd location. The maps don't show how much of a S.E to N.W orientation the 183rd was on.

Thank you for another great and informative episode. I'm a descendant of the 111th OVI so have a particular interest, and would like to correspond with anyone else with and special interest/descendant of the 111th.

Is there a record somewhere of which muskets the 175th and 183rd were carrying that day? One of the shooting videos I am doing is on the weapons they were using.
