Great to see a live version - I made a tape of the record one - making the musik playing slower and slower - what a great expression that was - this one will always be close to my heart...
first of all bowie for me is the best artist out there, and joining one off the best (eno) this king off art is created. when bowie and eno joins whatever they make is superior. love this song, it seems a mix between bossanova like tom jobim with rock, something between alladinsane and low.
Up *until* Reality tour? You must be kidding, the show and album are completely memorable, some of his best and that's saying a helluva lot. Been listening since 1970, he keeps reinventing himself even if his fans can't always keep up.
That's better, hmmmph! :) Like I said I've been listening from the beginning, they used to play him on AM radio in the 70's. Have you seen the videos of him on the Dinah Shore show? How about him and Iggy Pop on the Dinah Shore show?! I missed it , if only we had had tivo back then... The Reality Tour show in Berkeley knocked me dead, it was ecstasy, all the rebel rebels with their thumbs up their mars bars... My favorite is probably Station to Station with Young Americans second. mmmmmmm
Nice try but not quite, there are many contenders for the title, definitely too many to list but masterpieces all. I agree that this one is absolutely great , thrilling to the core, but to call something representative of only one of his many styles "the best" is to place unnecessary limits on genius. Besides, there is no best anything. Peacemmmmmmmm
My favorite Bowie’s song.
i agree with GeneralChi, one of Bowie's best set list ever, because Outside is one of the best albums ever, of course.
You nail it. Industrial psychopathic beauty. There are songs that just grab me. This is one of those. Great piano!!!!!
