Watching your videos when I’m having a slump is one of the best thing that I did! Have been putting Queen of Air and Darkness for months now but you’re making me wanna finish it soon and read the books you’ve mentioned! ♥️ always love your videos!!
I'm so happy right now that I'm not the only one. I really hated Mal and thought he was just annoying and a burden. I kinda liked the darkling more than Mal too.
Mal is so annoying and stupid and mean to Alina. I'm currently reading the third book and Gosh I can feel that she'll end up with Mal. And that breaks my Darling' stan's heart :'( Can't wait to watch the show **
@@alyssablunt7014 I almost DNFed the series during the second book because he was just the absolute worst. If his character didn't exist, the series would have been infinitely better
There are quite a few on your list that I want to get to as well! Ninth House, City of Brass, and We Hunt the Flame are all on my short list. ... I also really want to get to more Wheel of Time and Stormlight Archive this year as well.
I loved your commentary and presence since you're so charasmatic and exited about ideas you express. You nicely describe key ideas about stories that intrigue a viewer and potential reader. As a composer of original music themes for book trailers about comics that are performed on the guitar, I like hearing thoughts like yours since you make points that help write narratives for book trailers that promote stories. Your excitement is also very inspring to musicians like me who are composing and performing original music that represents excitement for characters we are interpreting musically. Cheers and grateful for your ideas!
i can't wait for you to read the foxhole court, it's so good, but just a heads up, there's trigger warnings for just about anything you can think about. also, it's not really very smutty, there's only one proper scene in the third book, but all of the crazy shit that happens in this series will keep you hooked
I loooove Jane Eyre! I hope you like it, too! I was hesitant about it because it's a classic, but I really enjoyed it! And that soft cover copy is beautiful!
I want to read so many books on this list!! I have already read City of Ghosts and am currently reading Night Film. I'm also planning to start The Poppy War really soon! I love your videos and hope you are having an awesome day 💗
If you haven’t already you should read the bear and the nightingale series! It takes place is Russia and focuses a lot on Russian folklore! I highly recommend!
I read Vampire Academy when I was younger and stopped at book 4, would also love to read it now cause I also adored the system and the first three SO MUCH.
I just adore you! :) I got the Shadow and Bone trilogy for Christmas, so I'd love to start it soon. I have Ninth House and We Hunt the Flame on my 2019 carryover list as well, so don't feel bad. Also, Target had a book sale going on when I went there a couple nights ago, so I picked up all three books in the Crazy Rich Asians series. So many books on my TBR, but I'm excited to see what you think of some of these as I'm going through my list.
We have a lot of the same goals! I want to read heartstopper, stalking Jack the Ripper, shadow and bone, and vampire academy. I finally read the cruel prince so I want to finish that too this year. I’m going to reread Harry Potter as well. The foxhole court I have heard good things about. Good luck!
Ninth House, Darkdawn, and Queen of Nothing are on my list too! And I LOVE Foxhole Court-I’m going to reread the series for the 4th time this year 😂 and nope, nothing paranormal going on in it. it’s not exactly lacrosse, but it’s a fictional sport that’s kinda like lacrosse and hockey mixed? SO GOOD though and I hope you like it!
jane eyre is my all time favourite classic! hope you love it! and i reread the infernal devices last year and it was so much fun to cry again with my favourite characters hahaha
I saw my notification that you uploaded this before I went to bed, then I had a dream that the video was 2 hours and 14 minutes and I was HYPED 😂😂😂😂 it was so random
I’m the same way with putting off reading the last book in some of my favorite series. I think it’s because I just love those characters so much and don’t want their story to be over! 🙈
We Hunt the Flame is fantastic! The audiobook is awesome if you go that route. Steve West is Nasir and he is the best narrator in the game, in my opinion. He narrated Strange the dreamer, Gemina, reaper at the Gates....etc.
I also love the Darkling. I know that it is not right to like him but I still like him. I am excited for you to read The City of Brass. It's one of the books I love and my all time favorite book.
The foxhole court is actually a series idk if you knew that but there’s two more books (the raven king and all the kings men) and also it’s not lacrosse it’s a made up sport called exy but it’s VERY similar to lacrosse so you’re not totally far off 😂 and there’s nothing paranormal I don’t want you to read it and wonder when that plays in because there’s nothing 😂 it’s my favorite series of all time so I’m curious to hear your opinion when you read it, it’s definitely not for everyone. P.S. I love your channel 💕
The Stalking Jack the Ripper series is soooo amazing! I’ve actually been wanting to reread the series so I’m excited to hear what you think of it :D I can relate to Audrey so much because I actually also want to become a forensic pathologist so I think you’ll enjoy it as well with your interest in forensics :D
Britt, I want you to know that the ONLY detail you got right about The Foxhole Court was that it's set in college. 😂😂 But it's one of my all time favorite series!!! So I hope you read it and enjoy it. I reread it last year and damn. Still amazing.
I really want to do the rainbow set up in my book shelf but I do no have enough books at all lol. Alsocitls is weird that the brown shelf is my favorite one
The Foxhole Court is SO worth it. I read the last one 3 times (and I normally don't read a book again), it is problematic so there are reasonable points to criticize, but it's nevertheless something I would totally recommend! :D
Queen of Nothing was great, although I think Wicked King is the best of the series. I loved Stalking Jack the Ripper and the second book, but the third and fourth books were incredibly disappointing to me and I’ve already unhauled them and am only keeping the first two. I hope you like it though, I know while I didn’t love the direction it went, some people did. Also, Jane Eyre, I loved Jane, I loved the first half, but Mr Rochester ruined it for me, unfortunately, and I found it went downhill around halfway. Good luck with your 2020 TBR
Sometimes I hold off on reading the last in a series as a way to convince myself that it's not over. I'm reading the wicked king now! Also for classics (one of my favorite genres besides fantasy and sci fi) Jane Eyre is one of the better ones.
I just finished reading the queen of nothing it was one of the books I couldn’t put down... I read it in a day usually it take like a few days for me to read a book.
Julianna Vasquez me too!!! After seeing Brittany recommend it, I picked it up and read all 3 books in 5 days and now I’ve been kinda lost not knowing what to read after lol I loved it so much, couldn’t put it down.
I am reading Ninth House right now and I like it so far! One of my must-reads this year is Morning Star, I feel soooo embarrassed I haven't read this yet 😅
Ninth House is incredible!!! I was hooked from the very beginning. Hope you enjoy it as well! I also really loved Jane Eyre. My reasoning behind reading up on my classics is basically the same as yours. I was also a huge fan of Vampire Academy and I hope to reread it this year. Soooo disappointed with how the movie turned out. Went from paranormal/thriller YA to preteen fantasy/comedy. It was awful. Didn't help that the producer was also the producer of Mean Girls thoughhhhh 👎 I love your videos and your personality. If you'll be at Book Con this year, I hope to meet you. ❤️
I am not sure i wanna read ninth house, I am so undecided! i love the Shadowhunter universe. I just am very nostalgic about all those books. ohhhh city of brass was amazing!!! I want to read kingdom of copper this month! Jane Eyre is a gem. at parts very dark, but i enjoyed that 😂 haha i am gonna buddy read darkdawn next month! I am so hyped for it! God, I inhaled the vampire academy! I adored Dimitri! ❤️ crazy rich Asians I binged the whole trilogy in 2 days and loved it! also the movie was so cute! oh yeah gotta get to hearstopper vol 2
The Foxhole Court isn’t about lacrosse and surprisingly it doesn’t have a lot of smut, especially the first book 👀 and it’s kinda slow but the story is so captivating. The Night Film is not about what you said 😂 but someone write that book! I love lists and planning so bring all the videos.
Jane Eyre is nice but Wuthering Heights is better. I definitely feel the need to mention that considering the first book you mention in this video you say might be Gothic, well so is Wuthering Heights. It also has in common with that book a house where some insane things happen.
I have been craving a book in the style of Vampire Academy / Bloodlines for a while now! A d it just devastates me that Richelle Mead has dropped off the face of Twitter 😣 Aaaand I have been marathoning Gossip Girl and can't wait for the reboot! 🙊
Just fyi The Foxhole Court is...basically nothing like that. I just don't want you to have the wrong expectations and be disappointed. It IS following a guy in college (he's 18) but the sport is not exactly lacrosse, it's more like hockey, violence wise. There are only mentions of the other teammates' sex lives since the MC is demisexual and the romance is pretty much not there in the first book and is very slow burn all in all. There is no paranormal if you don't count that the plot is pretty out there at times (mafia) + there's VIOLENCE, abuse, drugs and other triggers. Things it DOES have are found family 💖, interesting morally grey characters, exciting scenes, learning to love yourself and others. Hope you still enjoy it (I don't think anything was spoilery, I'm sorry if I wasn't vague enough).
THE FOXHOLE COURT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my god it's so good. Some of if is abit crazy but it is so so good. I've read this trilogy 4 times in less than a year.
I love your videos and i notice you read a lot of audiobooks, what do you use to get the audiobooks? I’m not a fan of Audible and was wondering if you had any suggestions for audiobook services! I would love to see you talk about that in one of your next videos!

I can't hear the word 'renegade' any more without thinking of the song
OMG just read Jane Eyre for the second time this last year and am obsessed with it. It's. SO. Great.
It is my favorite book of all time, I absolutely love it.
Same I finished reading it for the first time a month ago and I already wanna re-read it again❤️❤️
So many of your books are on my 2020 TBR too!! I just finished The Wicked King and I am loving that series!! LOVE your channel!!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who liked the Darkling more than Mal. I hated Mal in Shadow and Bone. He is one of my most hated characters of all time.
I'm so happy right now that I'm not the only one. I really hated Mal and thought he was just annoying and a burden.

“Oooh this one is a reread” you’re so excited for the Vampire Academy! 🤣
Love it.
Great 20 in 2020 vid. You’ve got a bit of everything on here.
I've been wanting to reread Shadow and Bone also!!!! Definitely before the show comes out also! And the Darkling is THE BEST!
Not only are their strigoi in the second book in stalking jack the ripper, but it's also set in translvania, at an academy!!

Jane Eyre is on my list too. It feels a little daunting to start
Melissa Louise omg I just finished it and LOVED it! Lol it’s so good! Definitely suggest!!!
Will you still be posting your February bullet journal 📓 set up?
yesss SJTR and Ninth House!!
YES for the Foxhole Court!
lmao I hated Ninth House....i'm so glad you're reading Stalking Jack the Ripper! Dragon republic hands down 🤗
HI WHERE IS YOUR NECKLACE WITH THE BLACK STONE FROM I LOVE IT
Heartstopper vol. 3 is actually already out!! I got mine from book depository
where did you get your shirt?! 🤩
I don't think you'll see this but Djinn is basically an umbrella term for supernatural creatures in Arabic and islamic myths, Genies being a type of Djinn
😍😍😍
Have you read "The Secret History"? I feel like it's such a fun classic if you like it (I know some people hate it, but I love it).
I literally just posted a video on Jane Eyre talking about why it’s my all time favourite book! I hope you enjoy it!! 💕🥰
I want to read the throne of glass series this year. I don't know why I haven't read them yet.
Ok I am wondering this if u have too many books than the books u don't like anymore or that u didn't like from the start either send them to other booktubers or donate them or give them to second hand book stores
Hi, am I the only one who The Infernal Devices is not my favorite? Honestly, I prefer the original trilogy the best.
OhCherieDear me too, though TID is a close second, it mostly loses because I was not a fan of Will most of the series
DREAMBORN on kindle
BRITTANY READ THE QUEEN OF NOTHING WTF
As a Russian, I can safely say that Russia also loves you. ;)
I think that there are more Darkling stans than Mal-the-douche stans 😌 And yes, there show will be on air soon (I hope so) but we must not forget who will play the Darkling: BEN BARNES! 😏 There won’t be Mal fans with Ben as the Darkling!
I really want to read the other books by Cassandra Clare but city of bones bored me lol
I feel like more people, including me, loved the darkling so much more! Mal was just annoying for me :(
Does anyone have any YA book recommendations? I feel like I only read classics and I want to branch out a bit.
Unpopular opinion.... I just finished Ninth House and wasn’t a huge fan of the book. It was an okay book.
Hello
Vampire Academy
I actually did not like The Cruel Prince. I read the first two and skipped the last
