The ending of song of Achilles isn’t a spoiler!!! Lol don’t worry. It ends the exact same way in The Iliad, and that’s been around for a couple thousand years 😂😂😂
I've met Astrid, who wrote Four Dead Queens - a few times now; and one of the things that I really love is that she comes up with the artworks for how she sees her characters, and all that. The character cards, and books marks that I have gotten from her at the conventions that I have attended, along with also the pins - are nothing except that of spectacular!!
Eliza Luckey I'm currently reading it, and I'm getting that in between the line love triangle so far, but I kind of like it and I don't even like love triangles.
So interesting that you loved A Sorcery of Thorns, I've been hearing such mixed things! You've got me excited and I'll be putting it back on my TBR. Just stumbled upon your channel and totally appreciate your opinions on your reads looking forward to more videos 😊
i really enjoyed four dead queens 😊 i didn't see the ending coming at all. i also love that it's a standalone! my favorite Half-Night Stand was my very first christina lauren. i loved it!
I LOVED my favourite half night stand, i gave it 5 stars as well. I highly recommend the unhoneymooners since your liking the Christina Lauren books. I was so excited when Richelle Mead came out with the bloodlines series. I am still obsessed with the vampire academy though. So many people now love the bloodlines series more but not me. Im a hardcore vampire academy fan. LOVE LOVE LOVE!
It's been a LONG week and I put off watching your wrap-up until today so I could watch you gleek out about all the books you read in August and all your new faves cuz your joy is as always contagious and I do need that injection of joy in my soul right now. So thank you as always Brittany!! You're AWESOME!!! Wow! I'm totally adding my favourite half night stand to my cart PRONTO!! It sounds right up my alley and the synopsis you just gave sounds so INTRIGUING!!! LIKE YESSSSSSS!!!! I still haven't read the Lord of the Rings trilogy yet but it is definitely high on the list of books I need to read!! I can't wait to read Song of Achilles and be utterly ruined and devastated by that book!!! Deathnote is one of my favourite animes and manga of ALL time!!! I can't wait to reread the manga, and then rewatch the anime too!! THANK YOU FOR POINTING OUT THE NOT LIKE OTHER GIRLS trope that WAS prevalent in A Curse so Dark and Lonely. When I read it, it grated!!! SORCERY!!! I'm currently reading it right now and I can't WAIT!!! TO KILL A KINGDOM!!! I LOVE LOVE this book and I've been meaning to thank you. Thank you for choosing this book for the Mythathon!! I had a blast reading it. I read 11 books in August. I finished all my NEWTS books (chose Auror as a career) and finished all my Mythathon books but one (my middlegrade pick). I've read it this month already though so yeah, I'm pretty happy and proud!!
Fellowship of the Ring 😍It's such a great solid fantasy and I immediately read Two Towers after finishing it. Now I still have to read Return of the King and it's been two years lol Such an amazing wrap-up omg! Hope September is going to be just as great!
I also read A Curse So Dark and Lonely last month and the truth is I didn't notice the fact that she said so many negative comments about those things (with the dresses for example) and I'm really glad you brought it to my attention. I believe though that she didn't put that much attention on that part and I agree that the character development by the end was incredible (not only Rhen's and Harper's but also Grey's and Harper's brother's whose name I cannot remember right now 😂). Always love how you talk about books and I trust your recommendations (especially in fantasy). I hope you're having an awesome day ❤️
Yessssss THE SONG OF ACHILLES ! I really don't care what other people say like ' it is just a gay fanfic and blah blah ' it is my FAV book ever .. i cry everytime i read it. As we can't know what exaclty happened to them, this story could be true in some ways. i mean ... what kind of Straight man prefer his best friend over his 'lovely wife and son' ? and i think the ending is not a spoiler at all cuz all were happend thousand and thousand years ago already 😂😂😂 I love Patrochilles so much 😭 even without saying ' I love u ', i can see how much they love each other. i really glad u love it
The ending of Song of Achilles is what made it a 5 star for me also!! I hadn't seen an actor write through the perspective of a (insert spoiler). Loved it!
I can definitely understand not liking when deaths are undone but I actually don't mind it, especially if I like the character. It's like a big down and then a big up when they come back. Though if it happens to every death I think that's when it bothers me.
You had an AMAZING month!! I’m so glad you’re loving the Bloodlines series! Vampire Academy also has a special place in my heart and I loved Bloodlines even more ❤️ I LOVED Sorcery of Thorns this month as well, and your edition is gorgeous 😍 there are so many titles here that I really want to read, and you’ve only hyped me up even more 💙
I failed at mythathon but I am still reading the books I TBRed for it this month! To Kill a Kingdom is on hold at my library I should get it later this week. I'm so glad you loved Song of Achilles I loved it so much! More than Circe which was also amazing! I hope Madeline Miller puts out more books because they're so fantastic!
I’ve been wanting to read the Witcher series! You’re recommendations are typically SPOT ON for me, thanks for all the awesome book recommendations! 💁🏼♀️📚❤️
For the NEWTs I was pursuing a career as a Divination Professor and I read 9 books and 1 short story. I finished my last book 15 minutes after midnight on the 31st (Hogwarts time) but I'm still saying I won because I had been hospitalized that day!!
There was 1 certain male death in Kingdom of Ash and I was like "alright but he's not really dead right. He's coming back in a few chapters" and NOPE. I was pissed lol
I haven’t read any Christina Lauren but my favourite half night stand sounds soo good!! I still need to get my act together and read the lord of the rings
I read 4 books in August T.T I uploaded a wrap up on my channel too :) I haven’t been able to read more than 8 books in a month but my goal is to be able to do that!!!
you sounded surprised that I would sit down and watch your videos for a long time. I would watch a five hour video if you posted it. I'm currently going back through and watching literally all of your videos. 👍
What brand are your earbuds that you use to listen to audiobooks, from your reading vlogs? Also, I was literally rewatching one of your videos because I needed something good to watch while I did my homework!
Such a great reading month! While August wasn’t an amazing month for me, I did read 14 books in July which was I think the best reading month I’ve ever had😂
I know this is gonna sound crazy but I've never read Lord of the Rings or watched the movies. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I was just too focused on Harry Potter so can someone give me a little premise of the first book or series as a whole?
Somehow I can't bring myself to read the Bloodlines books... I fell in love with Vampire Academy when I was 12-ish and although I wasn't a big fan when it comes to what the story became after book 4, I enjoyed it a lot how the characters developed and the relationships changed. Bloodlines is about Sydney - and to be honest there couldn't be a more boring character than her. :') But that's just personal taste I guess. ^^ Now I'm thrilled to read VA again. :D
I personally did not like ‘Sorcery of Thorns’. It took me two months to get half way through it and then I listened to the audiobook to just get through it. I hated the audiobook and as a result, the whole book was very forgettable to me. 😕 The first 50 pages were very good and I expected good things from those early pages. From then on, I felt like it coasted down to the ground. I had such high hopes for it. With Magnus Chase, I liked the series but I didn’t like that he used a stereotype for Mallory with the whole car bomb in Belfast is how she died. I didn’t appreciate that because I’m from Northern Ireland and that was such a stereotype. I expected more from Riordan in that regard. I know I’m not his target demographic but I felt that it send out a poor message to his young readers. Sorry for the rant.
Please be more careful with spoilers! Saying a character dies without really dying lets everyone know that at least one of the deaths won't be real and it won't hit the reader as it should when they get to it
I'm gonna get literally slaughtered for saying this but when doing book synopsis, maybe say it like you're telling a friend what the book is about, I know you've been trying to do more recaps when showing books and it sounds like you're hardcore trying to sell it. RIP me
Please try not to spoil us please !!! I love your videos but you make me fried to be spoiled because you just say things without recognizing 🥰 . I hope you see it

There is definitely a love triangle in a curse so dark and lonely, and I am soooo trash for it 😂😍 it’s subtle and read between the lines. Perfection 👌
Eliza Luckey I'm currently reading it, and I'm getting that in between the line love triangle so far, but I kind of like it and I don't even like love triangles.

Just wait for the fifth and sixth Bloodlines books, they’re my favorite 😍😍😍
And congrats on reading that many books ❤️

woww 16 books a month is insane! i'm trying to read 8 books this month!
Gloria Liu 8 books is amazing!!!
It takes me roughly 1 week to read 1 book (usually at least 350 pages). How you guys manage to read 5+ books in a month I'll never now.
@@vegangurly thanks :)
@@ElmosWorld54368 everyone has a diff reading pace and it's totes ok :)
I used to be able to read at least 4 books a week but now it's becoming difficult to do so as Alevels don't allow me much time for reading..
The ending of Song of Achilles is what made it a 5 star for me also!! I hadn't seen an actor write through the perspective of a (insert spoiler). Loved it!
It has been a while since I've been on booktube. But holymoly girl, you've grown so much
Love your channel!!! Always end up wanting to read after watching your videos🥰🥰🤩
So many good books!!! My Favorite One Night Stand sounds so cute!
I love sorcery of thornes, also I really want to read the death note and to kill a Kingdom💕💕
I can definitely understand not liking when deaths are undone but I actually don't mind it, especially if I like the character. It's like a big down and then a big up when they come back. Though if it happens to every death I think that's when it bothers me.

In the original Iliad, Achilles was never dipped in the river Styx. It was Roman and Greek poetry that depicted that
Dang I read 16 books in a year lol
I failed at mythathon but I am still reading the books I TBRed for it this month! To Kill a Kingdom is on hold at my library I should get it later this week.
I'm so glad you loved Song of Achilles I loved it so much! More than Circe which was also amazing! I hope Madeline Miller puts out more books because they're so fantastic!
I honestly didnt like To Kill a Kingdom as much as I hoped I would. I only managed to finish 2/4 books I planned on reading for the Mythathon :/
What an incredible reading month 👏
A Song Of Achilles was beautifully written, it was a tasteful love story, of 2 very devoted but different characters. One of my favorites this year
What did the librarian say to her students?

The wrath and dawn is a ya classic for me. I think I am gonna reread it.

How did your read that many books! Wow
I felt that exact same way when I read The Song of Achilles
I want a daughter named Circe.
Is the Vampire Academy series better than The Vampire Diaries?
yes

2:48 ooh girl that hurt😂 it is a hard pronunciation though
PJ and the Titan's Curse is my favourite Rick Riordan book, I'm surprised you think it suffers from middle book syndrome.
That sucks about four dead queens :(
I only read 9 books to me 9 is good usually lucky if I get six done

💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Actually the pronunciation of that name is PA-tro-clous.
It’s Britney bitch ;)
Dandi-lion, Dan-dilion...this is why i don't listen to audiobooks.
Don't watch the live action Netflix version of Death Note ....unless u hate urself
