Incredible revelation! At the time I was suffering with PTSD after experiencing a traumatic event as an adult in addition to hurtful experiences growing up, I took these steps to heal and rewire my brain through self examination, then applying new action-habits till this day, such as workout, meditation-worship,, breathing techniques, learning new skills, as outlined by Dr. Caroline Leaf. As a result, I am fully healed. PTSD and Depression gone!! And always tell myself "I am the happiest person alive!"
22:35 5 steps of reconstruction or resilience. 1. Gather awareness in your mind your body, your soul and your stomach. 2. Reflect on the awareness: ask why at those 4 spots. 3. Write out a mind map of the awareness. 4. Find the patterns, and the triggers. 5. Take action by affirming or breathing
I've been a social worker for 30 years. I currently work at a psych hospital as a clinical therapist. I've been watching different podcasts to learn more about psychology etc. This is amazing. I've been teaching my clients that an hour a week of individual therapy and psych meds is not enough. This is what everyone should be learning. Thank you!!!
Dr. Leaf is so amazing at explaining the mind , heart and soul connection! You have the most amazing guests on your show and the methods in which you ask questions brings out so much useful information!!! Thank you Ed.
Oh my word! Incredible value here! Thank you Ed and Dr Leaf. Definitely my favourite episode. I highly recommend listening to this episode more than once.
Awesome information!!!!!💯 I 1st saw Dr Leaf on TBN and the Faith Based channels and scrambled to record her, because her delivery of breaking down this crucial knowledge is life changing. This was almost 15yrs ago….she is a treasure🙏🏽
Ed, I admire your courage and conviction for Christ. It is so encouraging to see that! Please don't ever change. God Bless You. I love you and your channel content. Thank you so much for helping us learn and grow. Caroline is fantastic. Another outspoken Christ follower.
Thank you Ed for having Dr. Caroline Leaf back on! She is extremely smart, knowledgeable , eloquent (and I love her accent) and absolutely phenomenal! A thought is a cluster of memories. There are 2 types of memories: source memories(roots of the plant) and interpretation memories(branches). Mind is comprised of 3 main levels: conscious(soul level), nonconscious(spirit level), and subconscious which connects the other two levels.[unconscious is asleep] Behind the scenes it's all electric fields and energy connection. The neuro cycle is absolutely ingenius and I loved your(Ed's) input that it's a perfect recipe to make changes in one's life. Change takes a minimum of 3 months unless there are extreme traumatic events it can take longer. The neuro cycle sets a strategy for people to manage their mind and it consists of 5 stages:1. Gathering awareness about one's feelings and situation-introspection. 2.Reflection on one's feelings-WHY am I feeling this way? 3.Writing it all down using a metacog which resembles a tree, throw it down on paper 4.What are my triggers? What are my patterns? RECONSTRUCTION 5. Active reach-take action-statement/affirmation/visualization/breathing technique etc. We need to feel empowered and to develop psychological immunity which will allow us to pull out of traumatic situations. Thanks Ed for asking about medications and when it's ok to meds. I remember the previous show you did with Dr. Caroline Leaf during the corona and she was in a hotel room(there was an issue with the reception...) I ordered her book and unfortunately never got around to reading it. The past year and a half I had two big T traumas in my life: both my parents were diagnosed with colon cancer and passed away 10 months apart. Thank God I have strong faith, a very supportive family and wonderful friends so I'm dealing with the loss relatively well, with crying bouts that come and go. I think I've become extremely resilient over the years thanks to many life challenges I've been through . I always try to take it to a positive place: Everything happens for a reason so what is this trying to teach me? What is positive about this(even if it seems there is nothing positive at the moment)? "In the long run this will mean...for my life". How do I use this challenge to improve my future and help others? Thanks Ed for all you do for the world, thanks Dr, Caroline Leaf for sharing from her genius and thank God for the internet to get these messages out to the world #MAXOUT from Israel
Thank U sir Ed Mylett. She is really Genius. May U introduce in Ur show her Dr. Caroline Leaf & Dr. Joe Dispenza. Sir Mylett Blessings Gratitudes Appreciation. BRILLIANT. WE ARE ENTERING A NEW ERA WHERE WE ALL HAVE TO CARE SUPPORT HELP PROTECT EACH OTHER WHETHER WE ARE CLOSE OR FARE AWAY. BABIES TILL ADULTHOOD. ❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊 Thank U Ed Mylett.
INCREDIBLE wisdom!!! Dr. Leaf is my favorite human bc she is Both Science And Christian so we can understand both the way God Almighty created us to be and actually live our highest and best life!!! Hallelujah 🙌🏼🙌🏼🔥🔥✝️✝️
This is so amazing. And I didn't know I've done some of the things she mentions. For years, every time I find myself in a situation that gets me angry, I first react to it. Then I talk about it with God. I feel bad about my reaction, but next time it happens I react the same negative way. Until I recognize that it's not their (people) problem. It's mine. And I'm the one who should take charge and change. So, what I do is I visualize myself in that situation, because I know it's going to happen again, and not because I predispose myself, but because it's something that people do and ticks me off. Anyway, so I ask myself "how are you going to react next time it happens?" I visualize myself with a positive reaction. I take myself step by step in my visualization. Then I decide to put myself in that situation on purpose to check my reaction, and something beautiful happens. Every time I've done this, in different situations, I have no reaction. I free myself from negative emotions and thoughts. I don't even pay attention to what people do anymore, in those situations. They don't move me. FYI, I'm going through another situation right now, but I'm working on it. One victory at a time :)
OMG! This is soooo golden! I have been working with children for more than 20 years and have been doing a well off job but with these jewels I am about the break the mold! Thanks Ed! Keep bringing on amazing guests like this
Dr Caroline Leaf is the best and all her books are great, thanks Ed for interviewing so well such a superstar when it comes to undertsanding our "Thining, Feeling & Choosing."
Incredible message. I feel like I’ve been walking through mud for years. Dr. Leaf’s process is brilliant and incredibly helpful to me. Thank for this transformational show.
Wow, this is one of the best interviews I have seen in a while!! I don't subscribe to the the prayer portion of this episode as someone who has naturalistic views and knows their history.
What an amazing feeling when you’re familiar with similar concepts (in my case from Joe Dispenza) and you hear them explained from different perspectives and with different words but they all mean the same. It cements my understanding and I love it. Thank you Ed and Dr. Leaf!❤
I am so happy to see that you know of Dr. Caroline Leaf. She's an amazing person. I have her book "Switch On Your Brain". I saw her on Christian TV and that's how I learned of her. I'm watching this one next. Thank you Ed Mylett!
Such a great interview. I catch Dr. Leaf every chance I get and she delivers again. I have her app on my phone. So many "gurus" of change focus on your "Why" and ignore/dismiss the "How." The Neurocycle is the how, and will get results a hell of a lot faster.
WOW..... My question is about OCD and tourettes and anxiety in children who haven't had major traumatic experiences (no abuse). Does this practice help those who are "born" with mental challenges? This is absolutely fascinating.
Thank you! Finding the root of the problem and working on it through positive thoughts, understanding and letting it shrink so that it doesn’t have such a hold on your whole being…
Thank you this was amazing i immediately download her app and started working on my mental health. It is very scientific and simplified perfectly which make it easier to follow and implement. Thank you Ed for introducing her into my life, and thank you Dr. Caroline for you amazing work. I'm very grateful.
Hi Ed, Thanks for a AWESOME! interview. Give us finest master classes with such brilliant teachers. My motto: Always being a life learner and learn well. Thanks again !
Thank you TH-cam recommendation page ~ incredible interview ~ both sides knew their stuff but was also curious and all ears to learn more 💝 The perfect conversation Thank you ❤ Orlando Florida
That was GREAT! I teach my daughters and my students about the brain, awareness/mindfulness. I will use these strategies and Dr.Leaf's book to teach them. Thank you Ed for the wonderful content you always bring. Thank you Dr. Leaf.
17:40 When I moved back to my hometown. I met old friends. Friends I grew up with. They would say, Remember when we did...? I said. I don't remember it. It's blank. Nothing there. And it was a pretty big thing. Yet it is gone. So what happened? Where I moved to had nothing in common from where I moved from. My friends every so often would reconnect stimulated by something in our town. Keeping that memory alive. I moved away. Slowly my brain pruned it. Another thing. I did not live in the past. I do now share my life with people.
This was a video my life has been searching for for 6 years. Incredibly needed, and so practical. Re-parenting oneself can be immensly supported with the information and tactics here.
This is pretty amazing! Ed, could you do or consider explaning these 5 steps into a more detailed version of your solo episodes on this channel? I think that would be Goooooold worth 🙏 I love watching your solo shows explanining with fire what you have learned! 🔥as always great show!
I needed this simple breakdown of thoughts memories and interpretations I experience. She is absolutely 💯 helping me understand my brain functioning. I am reading her books❤🤯💙💚💛🧡❤💕💞💞💗💖💙💜💜💫💥

This lady is a legend
Awesome discussion of the impact of experiences on the mind... I have found that some of the heavy impact experiences have faded over time... mostly I think from not revisiting them over the years, resulting in more difficulty in accessing those memories. This was a valuable conversation to revisit again and again.
This show was fire ! Can feel your passion for this topic as well 🙌🏾💪🏾
At age Six a near drowning has given me a second chance at a normal life. It shocked my brain, moving me from a passive state to an active state.
When I arrived home five days later. I would begin a whole new life. I walked out the front door into a new world. It was day one on earth.
My mental state was somewhere between a newborn and a One year old. Without any past memories. I stepped outside and what I can tell is this.
There are two systems inside us. One handles navigation. The other system handles the collecting of data. Which is likely why we say, We have a soul and a spirit.
Imagine, waking up at birth without any awareness yesterday happened and this behavior would last for a lifetime.
What my parents did next kept me from watching tv, having toys, knowing about things like Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, Birthday, and no friends.
The mind is silent all the time. When a thought happens, action is taken. Thoughts are not meant to have us stop and think.
