Hi, I’ve been a devotee of your Golf Psychology videos for about a month. Pretty early on I concluded I need to work on letting the bad things go - not letting a bad hole or a bit of bad luck or some opponent sledging ruin the day. Just let it go. I’ve been giving the mental side a red hot go. FYI I’ve an official base handicap of 18.0. I’ve also taken up senior pennant to up the competitive element. I’ve been working hard to practice what you preach and whether it’s good luck or good management I’m seeing some remarkable results. I just want to thank you for this transforming series of videos that you have produced. I really thing you have found the crux of the golfers problems. I’ve also virtually cut out the instructional videos. I’m 66 and watching how tour pros do it is of little benefit and only serves to frustrate. At pennant last week I won in 12 holes, 8 and 6, with 10 pars and 2 bogies. So I have the tools to play well, just need to get the head to cooperate. Thanks for your remarkable series. It’s truely transformative.
Its comments like this Mick that make all the effort to put the series together worthwhile. Im so pleased you have found it so useful. You can make huge improvements by just thinking better on the golf course. 10 pars in 12 holes off 18 hcap is really impressive, well done !
Brilliant video craig👍, louie has been working really hard on this part of his game recently and accepting bad shots and controlling himself better, and you can see the difference already when he plays👍🏌♂️
Great series and there's a lot more for me to discover. Will work seriously on my golf mentality this year to be able to reach my goals and your video will definitely help me.
Another good video Craig, love these mental psychology videos, i remember reading golf is not a game of perfect many years ago, these videos are the visual parts of the book and easier to comprehend.
Cheers Yes I've read a lot of Rotella's work over the years as well as others.. Theme is always the same. Trying to make it easy to understand with these videos
First off, new Sub and appreciate your videos. Serious question: You mentioned you've been between a +1 and 2HC since you were 16. Why haven't you been able to improve beyond that do you think? Really appreciate this 🙏
Appreciate the sub and one of the best comment questions i have ever had. So this really relates to young Craig, he had some talent and he practiced and played 24/7. Had coaching which wasnt as good as today with launch monitors and the like. When I think about it my absolute A Game was very good , would shoot under par or around level quite easily but i didnt have it enough of the time and my B game really dropped off to being around 5 or 6 over par. Also youthful Craig went for EVERY shot which was very much a boom or bust strategy. For older Craig who is hanging onto his handicap with his finger nails he just doesn't have enough time to sharpen his short game or putting to really lower his scores. It my mental game that is helping me maintain my handicap.
I'm not entirely sure if I'm lucky when I hit a good shot or unlucky when I hit a bad shot. Definitely feel unlucky most of the time. Thank you for your videos.
If you hit them often enough, you get used to them anyway Craig 😉 Oh, I could tell you were acting there too…not enough expletives walking into the quarry waste area😂😂😂 Love the TH observation…he swears like we do 😂
Felt like i was watching myself in that video. Gave me one of the best laughs I've had. What a mess our minds can make of our game. Your demonstration made me realize how foolish I've been acting!!! Thanks for the wake-up call!
The bad shot sequence, was me yesterday lol! I’m very good on the range! Sometimes on the course I don’t know who the guy is holding the club! Thanks for the help!
Please advise on how to mentally stay calm when you have slow inconsiderate golfers ahead during a competition. I always loose my concentration and focus and play badly because of it.
Yeah that is annoying for sure Concetta. Once you have your process and routine in place that is all you are concentrating on doing. So once its your shot and it triggers your process you just concentrate on executing your process in your own bubble.
Personally I’m a little different. I throw a big fit right after the bad shot get it ALL out of my system then proceed to take a positive attitude for the next shot. This way I don’t carry the burden of the bad feelings further. I empty the trash then and there and totally. Just me.

If Louie can learn that at an early age it will serve him well in progressing his game faster.

Process Process Process
@@richardjacobs7632 Richard, you are a member of a very large club there! Good news: keep going - that practice will deliver, eventually!

Iv stared to laugh when I hit a bad shot instead of getting angry
That's a great way to be Aaron...

As long as the baggage has been dropped then that's all good Robert..
