    Hey Jason, I love Dr. Taraban. I can't believe that you only have 76k subscribers! You should have 1 million plus!! You are the best person on youtube for real estate (and other topics). I rarely give out praise (seriously). But you and Orion are two of the best in your areas. SMH.

    Your partner is the absolute most important deciding factor on your financial success. With the current dating market I'd much rather focus on building wealth through real estate than waste my resources on someone who can't support the mission!

    great interview. i got my mba from Chicago with a major in business economics so this discussion was fascinating for me. one problem for the man to be the adored is he's probably settling with a woman (the adorer). in most relationships, the woman is at least slightly better looking than her man. an adored man is most likely with a woman who's less physically attractive than him which isn't optimal for most men.

    It's one thing to be needed, and know it, but the crux of the matter is whether or not you are wanted. And if you are unwanted, then those who need you but cant recognize that fact, well there's no point sticking around for them to exploit you and give nothing back

    The mistake I seem to have consistently made has been to be the adorer forever destroyed by the person i adore not even looking at me once let alone twice. And if there are any who have adored me they have had a funny way of showing it, i.e. they haven't.
    I've spent the last 18 years alone, am almost 35, and after striking out yet again only worse than ever before, I have incontrovertible proof that whatever years remain to me will be just as alone, just as much starving with needs unmet, and I kinda do hate women now largely due to how they are so intuition and feelings based and misinterpret things, misinterpret signals from guys as weakness, neediness, clingyness, when maybe just maybe a guy is being genuine, romantic, and has been burned so many times before he cant help how his wounds show

    As much as I like his work, Orion sees the world far too much in transactional terms. People stay with each other, because for some people their vows mean something, not because they can’t do better

      @@immers2410 I think that can be true too especially if we meet someone we really love. But even for me, although I loved the man I married, I made certain compromises for certain advantages. I married in the 80s and it has significantly changed since then as he mentions in the opening. Not that I agree w everything he says.

    🤔 Interesting video, but I think we need to be really careful with these "sexual marketplace" theories. While they try to use economics to explain dating, the science shows it's way more complicated than that.
    Recent research from 2023 shows that factors beyond just gender play huge roles in relationships. The whole buyer-seller model that guys like Taraban push feels super outdated, oversimplified, and totally misleading.
    Sure, evolutionary psychology has some merits, but it's super controversial when it comes to explaining gender differences, and it seems human evolution has ended in the stone age. Modern relationships are complex and can't be reduced to simple economic transactions, that’s just nonsense. My guess is Taraban doesn't really understand those dynamics himself, and tries to intellectualize oversimplified concepts from the red pill movement to impress young and insecure men who are looking for dating success, and offers to fill a void and make good money in the process. Old recipe, and it works.
    Maybe we should start listening to real authorities in that field and focus more on understanding the actual human elements of dating instead of trying to understand social gender dynamics as a completely flawed economic model that is just demeaning to how romantic attraction between the genders really works.

      If you can’t explain it to a child, then you haven’t understood the problem (bad paraphrasing here), point is that there are certainly other dimensions of analysis, but the marketplace analysis of dating definitely works, and makes everything make sense through that lense. Maybe you don’t like that lense, there are other lenses and your mileage may vary.

      @firsthelix6726 In the marketplace of being an "influencer," you just need to create content that already confirms people's beliefs.

    • @firsthelix6726
      @firsthelix6726 19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@vanessa.jasmine Yes, but then again in reality there are different believes. As a so-called ‚influencer‘ you have to create some controversy to become even recognized in a crowded marketplace , that always works best. You don‘t even need to believe the crap you are spreading, just be controversial, otherwise nobody‘s gonna hear you. Best example are clowns like the ‚Hate’ (don’t wanna benefit their algorithm) brothers.
