    I bought a Purple Hammer last May. Didn't know how to really throw it, so I didn't understand what the deal was. I developed elbow tendonitis a couple weeks before last year's Nationals. Made it worse during Nationals because of the squad times my team captain chose (9:30pm Saturday night for Team, 7:00am Sunday night for Doubles/Singles). I was a wreck for the next three weeks. When I finally got back, the only ball I felt comfortable throwing was the Purple Hammer. Very little backstring, coming up straight up the back, letting the ball do most of the work...a star was born. Now, it's my go-to, even on house. I will be picking up a Black Pearl for this year's Nationals. Thank you...

    Hi Jason, Axel here. I love watching your opinion on balls, and your challenges, considering I know a lot of the people that you bring on. Keep going!

    They failed hard on the “use less urethane” part 😂 that’s all that’s thrown anymore is the IQ 78/U and the Black Pearl Hammer

    The first 5 minutes is pretty much what I was dealing with at nationals with doubles/singles with all the urethane. Hit the pocket, strike sometimes.
    To string them together i had to move way inside, around 30 with symmetrical, low flare solids.

      Thank you for the info! I don’t go until June and will definitely be keeping my eye out for what seems to be working. Seems like some people are making urethane work up the lane but I have seem people play deeper as of recent. Sound be a fun time!

      @@RevItUpBowling I think urethane would've worked better for me if I'd slowed down a bunch. But it was my first time and I had some energy lol

    Brunsnick said that a lot of the pros were using the 16lb one because of the higher diff, you could give that one a try if you haven't.

    Question for Nats: Would you see a bag with NU, Purple, Black for a lower rev lefty?

    • @RevItUpBowling
      @RevItUpBowling  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I could see it, however we want to emphasize versatility when traveling with a limited number of balls. Obviously I don’t know your game, but if you feel comfortable with those balls and feel like they’re different enough, then go for it. If you’re only bring 3 balls, I would only bring one urethane and use some reactive balls to round out the bag

      @@RevItUpBowling That would only be one bag. Second bag, I am thinking, Phaze II, Harsh Reality, Mix spare ball

    Excellent ball review. The urethane balls are not suitable/good for the speed dominant (Rev challenged) bowler; is this correct?

      Typically not, however on certain oil patterns they are quite helpful even for speed dominate bowlers.

    Using urethane, a ball that requires more skill, placement, control and provides less overall forgiveness compared to resin was reducing the skill gap?

    • @RevItUpBowling
      @RevItUpBowling  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Urethane is definitely more sensitive when it comes to what patterns it’ll work on, however, when it works you can take the lanes more out of play. Urethane is a different beast and requires practice to understand the balls unique motion and its adjustments. Thanks for watching!

    • @Nothingpersonal42
      @Nothingpersonal42 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Urethane takes way less skill, why do you think it’s so popular?

    • @nordattack
      @nordattack 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Nothingpersonal42 The pros use it because they are "super skillful." If the average league bowler had his resin taken away and was given a plain urethane ball and forced to use it for the whole season, do you think as a whole averages would go up?

    @bruceherbertiii5267 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hi, Love your content you express 🎳 in a simplified way to grasp. Question, do you recommend or use Urethane on a typical league house shot?

    • @RevItUpBowling
      @RevItUpBowling  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s hard to say. Even house shots are different across the board. Also, everyone throws the ball different of course. I personally never use urethane. Not that it won’t work, urethane is just more situational so when it doesn’t work, it’s harder for me to grind a 220/230 game.

  • @richmarten7259
