    Imagine throwing that line on a cheetah pattern and ur ball just stays there no matter how many revs u have on it. Been shooting in a house thats relentless with ppl who throw straight balls u wanna talk about a bowling nightmare!

    What a concept one ball and just change hand position, speed, launch angle, grip pressure etc, This is nothing new under the sun just history repeating itself, this is what they did with hard rubber balls, pros used to bring a hard rubber ball and a softer one and usually use them through the whole tournament, Ray Bluth great example thank you Brad Angelo for remembering history. Welcome back skill in bowling and not hook in a box bowling.

    The thumbnail for this video was very misleading. I thought, based off of the thumbnail, that you were going to speak more about manipulating the hand/fingers on the ball to get different reactions.

    I experience close to no fatigue after a league match after getting this advice. Took a while for it to feel natural, but my arm still feel great after any league match/practice session. Another piece of advice that goes hand and hand is to keep the shoulder as straight as possible when swinging. The moment you start moving the shoulder around, usually from trying to muscle the ball, thats when bad things happen

    You said something very interesting about what league balls and I wonder if someone could elaborate: "Bring your most comfortable ball, a shinier ball, and something pretty strong" When are you using the strong ball?

  • @BufordTGleason
    @BufordTGleason 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Great stuff. Some people will swear don’t change a thing or you can’t be consistent …the same speed the same hand position ect…and while there certainly is merit to that approach… as in life, there is more than one way to get the job done. Changing balls always gives me a different feel, and it takes me a frame or two to get used to it so I’d rather stick with the same rock. When all else fails, I’ll reach into the bag for something else and sometimes that works. it’s also not financially feasible to carry a load of equipment to league every week. Finally, I suffer from paralysis by analysis sticking with one ball staying in the same place and manipulating my hand unless it is totally unplayable, narrows my decision tree considerably and helps me focus on shot making and not getting distracted by wondering if i’m playing in the right part of the lane or the ball I’m using matches up best.

    I appreciate you making this video on a house shot. So many videos people make on puddles and a ton of bowlers will never bowl on anything but a house shot. I wish that wasn’t the case, as I miss my college sport shot days, but it’s true. I can’t even find a sport shot league near me.

    The concept of speed is over rated. The roll-hook shape that you need to strike is primary. The speed is thirdly. Secondary is ball projection. You get consumed with speed and every other aspect goes to hell. Thumb releases first, then fingers lift. These little manipulations are a can of worms. You do this, you do that, then trying that. That is insane.

    It’s unnatural to keep your arm swing free while he bends over with his shoulders not square and some what straight at the finish . He grab because , his body is reacting to not falling . When he tried to demonstrate his swing it was unnatural for him Because his finish is square and more up than bent .

    For that ball speed your ball hits very very light. Are you using a 14 or less? Also, I would love to see you use a heavier ball if so, and actually use some tilt and not worry about your speed so much. I feel like from watching this, that your flush percentage isnt high, and you miss high and low often, so that has to be ball speed related.

    I was practicing the other day before league. I know my basics, but I was working on my release and such. Yes, I know not a great idea to do before league, but here's the thing, during league my forearm starting to feel sore, but I felt loose and I see I had more revs than usual. Now, my question is.. is it normal to have your forearm sore a bit? I know doing something new before league and kept doing in during league is not a good idea and should practice NOT on league days. Only reason why I practice before league is because it is the only day I have to even practice. I do stay more behind and under the ball more than before and have more revs, but my forearm just felt so damn sore after 2nd game going into 3rd.. LOL is that normal?
