There shoul be a series where low elo legends start the first 20 minutes of a game then pros finishes the game. This will kinda be like the adopt a noob tournmant but diffrent.
i just cant buy that hes not a troll.. when i was new to the game i was afraid of over investing into ANYTHING but he builds 8 barracks in dark age? no idea why
Totally understand his strategy, but not sure if it is viable for higher ELO games. 1. Goths are the only civ that you only need one military building for: - Swordsman counter infantry - Pikeman counter cavalry - Huskarl counter archers and can be used as siege when massed 2. Goths don't get walls, so build walls with barracks and houses - You need a lot of houses and barracks anyways to pull off this strat, so might as well build walls with them - You don't need a lot of wood for infantry and their upgrades 3. Boom and counter - Since you can instantly raise an army with 20+ barracks, just boom and wait for your enemy to come to you You can build the perfect counter for any raid 4. Once boomed and have your enemy surrounded, attack with huskarls for siege, and any counter unit you may need Interesting strategy, would love to see more of this guy as he becomes higher ELO
@@123Juniiorr agree, you only need a half decent (and awake) opponent to combat his strategy. Yet I do think his building strat was to confuse the other player where he has built his eco which could be percieved as next level strats
Huskarls, Rams and Halbs is pretty much all you need. Even if the other guy has Onagers, you can still flood them. Though I usually see people neglecting their economy. Lots of farmers and lumberjack (with trade) and you should win.
Hey T90, i think this serie of videos really helped the "shy" side of your community. A lot of people, before thoses, was thinking that even the low ELO part of the game was full of" metaslaves" or people following strats like robots. They didn't know the whole adventure can be and will be serious games, but mostly WTF and fun games. Thanks pal', you are bringing more people into online AoE.

I didn't think so at first, but ye, by the end of the game it really does seem like that. Continuing to build more rax while Blue's xbows are attacking. Red seemed like he was just trying to out-macro out of boredom.
Altgough the placement of barracks and the time he placed was wierd. I really liked the strategy. He planned everything before and executed a rush which his opponent won't stop
I love the shape of red's military graph. It looks like it must be a super-low numbers game, but that's actually just a huge amount of instant production
hahahah maybe this guy was just taking notes from the hard/extreme AIs - the AI bases always have a ridiculous number of production buildings, enough to replace an army in one production cycle.

I wonder if red saw Hera's beginner video that talks about using barracks to wall up early game, and since he couldn't build walls.... he went balls to the wall, I mean barracks XD
I played this map for the first time last night, and I started with 2 houses. By the time I had realized it was a different kind of map, it was too late. I eventually got the TC built but I noticed that my opponent had built a barracks right next to my base and was raiding with militia. Already shook by the map I was completely caught off guard. He actually ended up walling off my berries and as he was killing my vills I was also running out of food, and with my berries gone I didn't know what to do so I resigned. It probably didn't last much more than 20 mins of game time.
Loving Low ELO Legends. I am learning a lot as well because I play worse than most of these people. Watching this is a fun way to learn how to fix my own mistakes. Great community!
@zonda_r2 I'd say I'm worse because I just play against AI. They are at least playing multiplayer, which I would probably panic and do all sorts of crazy things :)
T90, I love your low elo legends videos as they are a funny break from pro play. But I think your channel would be even better if you had mid tier commentary as well, not just the very top and the very bottom. Mid tier commentary would give lots of helpful tips to players who have good general knowledge and want to improve further. I am rated around 1300 now and would happily give you some amazing replays of games I had.
Barracks count is inversely proportional streamer's sanity... But if you think about it, it's not like he can speed up his town center and he kept producing for whole game. If anything, it's lack of the wall could be his downfall - the only thing that is stalling his opponent is his confusion.
From making certain barracks for different flanks/targets, to only training troops when you need them, it reminds me a lot of levying troops in Crusader Kings. Red declared war and raised his troops, and Blue immediately ceded ELO and peaced out.
tbf this is a pretty good strat against early rush (considering low ELO), just with a bit fewer barracks. You get to respond to danger almost instantly. Unless your oponents booms behind wals (this map doesn't encourage it), you're actually set to win with castle rush.

Low ELO Legends is far and away my favorite T90 series. As an old AOE2 player who's thinking about coming back to MP, i just hope i dont see myself one of these days...

Hey, i played aoe2 back in the days but never online. You low elo legends actually got me back into the game, vs ai first but then online. The tips you give trough out your vids are really helpful i made my first online matches 3v3 and 4v4 and actually won 3 in a row now im a bit scared that i rise to high in elo for my skill level and will get smashed hard as soon as i start 2v2's with a friend. So to anyone thinking this game is only played by hardcore pros. Try it. Seriously there a lot of casual bobs like you and me playing and you will sooner or later drop to the elo you belong to and have nice matches. Its so much fun playing aoe online.

Red knows that goths are the strongest civ for low elo. he’s just got the wackiest build order. Red can also boom. Blue has micro and can raid but his economy was idle for ages. and he doesn’t know about throwing axemen hard countering goths.
@@Dollar-gc9in It depends. I've been playing with Franks a lot when i was below 1000 elo. And the thing is they usually wait until you are 200pop and then fight. Asuming frank only make paladins and the other made only halbs, in open maps they can avoid the halbs and raid their eco. Cost effectiveness is important. But would you counter 70 elephants with 70 halbs? You need to have advantage in numbers to win with trash units. And low elo don't use to do a lot of military biuldings and wait until the very end. And in a more realistic scenario, as frank is usually important to fight halbs with Axemen, wait until there are less halbs and then send paladins. That worked for me at least

Someday we will find an actual new strategy in low-elo legends that a pro can refine and use in a real tournament game

Low elo players don't spect to see Axemen either. They go full halbs thinking they can counter your paladins with only that
