Currently knitting a Japanese pattern from Daruma Book 2, only in Japanese but I love the charts and diagrams, no need to know Japanese, super easy to figure out. Love not letting language stop you from knitting a beautiful pattern!
Wow, good for you! I also want to make so many things from Daruma, but find the patterns/charts so confusing despite living in Japan and knowing intermediate Japanese! Maybe I'm overthinking it. I've only been knitting for a year.
Evgeniya, your videos are at the top of my list of favorites. I appreciate how thoughtful you are about the details of the patterns and yarn choices you share. It's amazing to me that you've been knitting for such a relatively short period of time. You sound like a seasoned pro and your finished garments are stunning! Please keep the content coming : )
Oh wow! I hope it will be a very loved piece of knitwear in your wardrobe if you decide to knit something from the list! Thank you for a warm comment, Amanda ❤
Interesting video !! I really love Asian knitting designers, their aesthetic, knitting techniques and yarn choices hit different and I find it really refreshing seeing designs that are not Petiteknit or My favourite things knitwear. (Is that an unpopular opinion ??) Anyway loved the video. I’d love knitting the Heart Chain sweater but I’m also considering knitting the Puro Cardigan by Yui Yamamuro. Just need to decide if I want to throw myself in cables or plain stockinette. 😂 If I may make a suggestion I’d highly recommend you trying De Rerum Natura yarns. I might be biased caused it’s a yarn produced just right next to my village in the South France but really all their yarns are such a delight to knit with, they have a rustic kind of vibe but are really soft and durable yarns (Especially their Gilliatt or Ulysse). Sounds like the kind of yarn you’d like ! Korean and Japanese designers often recommend them in their patterns too. 🌸
Thank you for such wonderful comment! De Rarum Natura is definitely on my list, I want to try so many yarns from them. I spoke about my wishes to try it in the Autumn Knitting plans, but unfortunately, the only shop in Spain that has a good selection of it, doesnt ship to Canary Islands. Its good that I am moving soon and will be able to access it! I also try to stay minimalistic with my stash, and I have enough to knit until Spring, so for sure will try it but closer to March! Regarding My Fav Things Knitwear, Petitknit and other very famous patterns, I really dont see a point of including them in my pattern roundups, because their patters are viral. Everyone knows and will know without my input :) So it makes me so happy to find something unpopular and sometimes even more beautiful than the most popular patterns on the internet. I think both patterns Puro Cardigan and Heart Chain Sweater deserve to be knitted since they are from different and beautiful! I want to knit Flocon Sweater by Rui Yamamuro, actually using the recommended yarn! Wishing you all the best in your knitting journey 🍀
So many beautiful patterns to add to my list! The herringbone classic and heart chain were my favourites here but all of them are gorgeous. Thanks for putting this together Evgeniya ❤
I’m making the baguette sweater right now and it’s my first ever cable sweater. The instructions are very clear and easy to understand so I would say it’s pretty beginner-friendly. Definitely give it a go if you like it.

Thank you very much! To be honest, after creating this video, I am trying to hold myself from casting on a few of these patterns haha :) Because I already have the yarn and plans to stick to. Need more sweater is a perfect base and Baguette, of course, is a piece of art 🤎
What a beautiful collection! I’m still deciding on my pattern choice. However, you inspired me to find some Cascade Eco + I like the idea of natural colors.
Yes! Hopefully, it will become a popular act among European designers as well! I saw that PetiteKnit had included the size schematics in her new Dagmar Jacket, which is great!
