Depends on what role you want to play as and if you have a medic or not. With a medic, a tank build is good, in which I would go: Dreadnought, Vampire, Parry, Smash and Spartan. For weapons, bone crusher or battleaxe and hemoclobber are good choices.

@@zzzqw If there is no medic, you can still go dreadnought, as you can heal yourself with hemoclobber if you want to go tank, or ask your teammates to buy medic pistols (only 1 weight). I'd go for skirmisher if you plan to play as ranged (eviscerator, HRG Teslauncher, Nailgun) or just acting as a lone wolf. For boss wave, it really depends what skills you use. Dreadnought with bone crusher is good for taking hits for your teammates. Ranged weapons are more viable if you go skirmisher, as you can dodge ranged attacks easier and regenerate health. Really good if you want to kite the boss like Matriarch/Patriarch.
