I remember watching this on premiership plus aged 13 and going to school the next week and hearing all the Man utd fans say he never meant it and all that crap lol. what a great goal, greatest ever from a great forward!
I'm not a Arsenal fan but still it was a joy to watch the Bergkamp Henry pair showing their genius skills at the time. And this goal is just madness, if you can do that you belong to the hand full of exceptional players that have walked on the soccer fields.
when u watch it in slow motion u can see that he lifts his right arm to let the ball pass underneath it, so he predicted it's trajectory. he uses the contact with the ball (coming from his right), to start his anti-clockwise rotation. apparently he did all this on purpose, really incredible ! it's my favorite goal ever.
That touch is almost impossible to do, ive managed to do it with the outside of my boot, if you're a decent player its easy, but with the inside, nah. Best goal i've ever seen. Bergkamp=legend
You can do the crazy Bergkamp Newcastle wonder goal flick in PES 2013. I did it with Rooney. When he recieved the ball I pressed R1 and direction button to run straight away but instead it did this great flick. Shame it did not come off but is now possible to do
@FawlyAlmighty Justin Fashanu scored a goal like Henry when playing for Norwich! This goal IS the best premier league goal because it is unique, you cannot compare it to any other! ps I support Spurs, but will admit to this pure genuis...
hey! Nikos dabizas has 7 fans.........(when he was asked about this goal he said "there was nothing i could do,he already did that in his mind before he even touched the ball,i am unlucky because i hapened to be the one in his way, even if there was the best defender in the world in my place i doubt he could do anything but watch bergkamp score"
@FawlyAlmighty i"ve got a challenge for you! watch Glenn Hoddle strike v Nottingham Forest. What makes THIS goal unique is that the ball doesn"t touch the ground from the time it leaves the goalkeepers hands to hitting the back of the net, it is touched by two Spurs players before Hoddle volleys it into the net! Can you think of another like that!
Look at the idea of this goal. Look at the imagination in his head. Look at the calculation of the ball and his body. Playing like a virtuoso, Hail The ICEBERG !!!
@aSH0GUN i said the goal is unique, for the fact it doesn"t touch the ground from Goalkeepers hands to the goal! A volley IS a definate show of skill & technique! Glenn Hoddle was agruably the most talented English player of the 1980"s, he was a better passer of the ball than Scholes & Beckham! could score freekicks, volleys had a great football brain the only thing he didn"t have was speed, he couldn"t run to save his life, but why bother when you can land a 50 yard pass on a sixpence!

Greatest Arsenal goal according to a poll in the official website.
Well deserved. It was an artistical moment.
Best goal ever by the Master. Also look where he started the move 15 yards in his own half! True LEGEND!
he was like a architect on the field
when u watch it in slow motion u can see that he lifts his right arm to let the ball pass underneath it, so he predicted it's trajectory.
he uses the contact with the ball (coming from his right), to start his anti-clockwise rotation.
apparently he did all this on purpose, really incredible !
it's my favorite goal ever.
this is by far the best goal i´ve seen in my life
why? because messi,maradonna,pele......no one could repeat this, only bergkamp
Accuracy, strength, power! Toon fan in awe 10 years on..
this is the best gol ever.
2. maradona vs england
3. van basten vs russia.
One of few goals that required 100% technique.
Loved in 2002 and love it now
Best player the PL has seen. My opinion. From a Chelsea fan.
Greatest goal ever. There is hardly anyone who can do that, let alone in a real match.
BEST GOAL EVER!
genius stuff and world class. he won the goal of the decade on skysports.
he flicked the ball not to hard or to soft.
he flicked it perfectly
it's so amazing that he was able to do things like this
Absolute Quality - Bergkamp = Maestro.
the greatest transition in the sport history ever.
Best sound I've heard in years!!!
Master of the universe, the best football player and the best Arsenal.
so unique. no one has did this before or will ever score like this again.
One word: UNDEFENDABLE!
That touch is almost impossible to do, ive managed to do it with the outside of my boot, if you're a decent player its easy, but with the inside, nah. Best goal i've ever seen. Bergkamp=legend
First time in my life i'm proud to be a dutchy, couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this!
The best goal of all time. liverpool fan,
My favourite Arsenal goal of all time. Favourite England goal Gazza against Scotland in Euro '96.
Should have been voted the Greatest Goal in the last 20 years of the Premiership.
I want to watch this goal over and over again sat in a large room on my own on an hd projection screen
You can do the crazy Bergkamp Newcastle wonder goal flick in PES 2013. I did it with Rooney. When he recieved the ball I pressed R1 and direction button to run straight away but instead it did this great flick. Shame it did not come off but is now possible to do
not too old, he is (was) one of the best players in the world
how dare he even have the cheek to try that, such a legend
No sound, no words..
Best goal ever and I support the team it was scored against!
Just amazing....
I wonder how to type bad comment about EXCELLENT goal like that ???????
It's the best ever !!!!!!!!
Best goal ever, no doubt.
Wow, just wow!
Amazing !
as a newcastle fan, i am still adamant to this day that he did not mean that :)
even tho he is dennis bergkamp and he did mean it
to me
he didnt :)
I still don't get how he did that. In slow motion is even harder.
Bergkamp was a genius.
unbelieveable,what a technique
this goal was absolutely brilliant i dont think henry could do that lol
amazing
Это просто гениально.
he is legend football player.
@dan32113
Yes, actually - Peter Møller from FC Copenhagen vs Farum. Great goal. But what does this have to do with Bergkamp?
Here in Brazil most people do not believe he is not a Brazilian.
Yes this is really magic
When I saw the no sound part, I turned down my speakers just in case it some joke to kill our ears
Omg You Could Do Some Much Variations With This :D
@FawlyAlmighty Justin Fashanu scored a goal like Henry when playing for Norwich! This goal IS the best premier league goal because it is unique, you cannot compare it to any other! ps I support Spurs, but will admit to this pure genuis...
how did he do that!
damn
How that goal did not win the best goal in the 20 seasons???

Best stricker the Netherlands ever had!
quel joueur! quelle classe!

newcastle fan ^
Wat een held.
Now thats Pablo Picasso playing football
that is ridiculous how he meant to do that... goddamn it
And what is the best in your opinion?
@FawlyAlmighty Zola vs Norwich is another example of very individual goal! There is no right or wrong just personal choice..
nope i loved that strike, but ohhh nothin beats gerrard middlesborough. still gives me goosebumps
I think Dabizas is the one who disliked this video.
... still don't get how he does it? ;)
i try this trick from 20 years, every time i play football....it never works :)
I've done something like that!
He kinda just pushes the Newcastle play away after he does the trick.
when messi does something close to this ill accept that he is the greatest of all time until then, no thanks
why ? what is the reason
omg god
nice
diego souza palmeiras 2009 vejam tbm q golaço

lets be real here, the defender clearly got shoved

neat
Better than Mradona 2nd goal against England
the goal should have been disallowed, it should be against the rules to use magic in a game
@Left4Counter Hahahahahhaha dude that was one of the best jokes I've ever read!
one of the finest goals ever t grace the game (even if he did push gary speed down to the ground b4 he shot, lol)
rvp didnt mean to do it.

And now he trains AJAX 1
