I could say that the reason why both splatanas has a type of shield (splat wall and bubble) is by how it consumes a lot of ink, pro Chara noticed that and I do enjoy that it provides some sort of shield to recover ink or back up

not really... the hitboxes of this splatana are way too big, you don't have to aim at all if you get close enought to them, the charge shot hit's really far and as u seen in one of these clips he 1 hit one guy without looking at him cuz they got close to them

I kinda like em both tbh, I've been exclusively playing stringer since launch(nothing else felt rewarding as landing one shots with it) so I'm enticed for the wave breaker but torp would have been neat rather than sensor

in Japanese its called “Dental Wiper Mint/Sumi” respectively. theres a type of charcoal toothpaste in japan called Sumigaki, referring to its blackness, so its probably called Charcoal Decavitator. i don’t think it would be Neo considering other weapons like Luna/Machine have “neo” in all other languages
Super happy with both bow kits, stamp is my favorite special, very excited for that one! The sword kits are okay, I don’t get the choice of wall or bubble, but they still look good to use.
Me too, I don't understand the hate only because it's compatativ not good stamp is still a funny and cool special in my opinion

Honestly I’m fine with the first kit. Stamp can be useful if you know how to use it. The second kit is also useful, since I may use those sensors to *stalk my enemy’s and kill them* Coming from a Tri-Stringer main btw
Hot Take. I like the Sringer Kits and how unique they are, but I'm NOT a fan of Inkjet / Zipcaster Kits

Which is really fitting for wellstring since it does 5 shots
The wellspring looked like it might benefit from a midrange position so I think that the first kit is pretty good. Plus it would generally give stringers a panic melee power in a pinch.
The issue with stamp is that it just isn’t that good of a melee panic. It completely folds and dies against shooters, dualies and splatlings, which is a huge weakness to have. If stamp actually protected from the front then it could potentially work, but it’s just not worth it as a special.

It will take some time to get used to, but seeing point sensor on a stringer has been a huge hope of mine. No weapon can do it all - it's about role and position, and point sensor is huge for a support weapon as solid as the (non-reef) stringer class.
I honestly love the toxic mist/killer wail combo, but point sensor may be even more useful. Trapping enemies in a choke point helps for that area, but having opponents constantly tagged for the whole team, with the occasional wave breaker to avoid, allowing another chance to track, will be a lot for the other team to deal with. Add on the 67% more exploding shells raining down on them, and they are in for it.
Stringer main and lover of the point sensor, im incredibly hyped for the custom wellspring :) i was really wishing the reef lux builds had it at least once, this will do :)
I really like both of the mint decavitator kits. Both have offense and defense, it just changes fir which thwy focus on more.
The second Splatana could be a Forge Mint Decavitator

I love them both. Two OP Bow weapons? I love it. And the custom Well String V with Wave Breaker and Point Sensor. This will teach Spawn Campers to stay in their own base #Splatgangs.
Wellspring V might be my new main because I love auto bombs and ultra stamp. The custom one seems mid.

This sounds like a stupid question but I don't play comp and I'm B rank, but what's wrong with Stamp?
It's a bad weapon and easily countered
Stamps has hitbox issues where it can still be killed through the stamp, as well as often not killing opponents as fast as it should. Overall this leads the special to struggle getting consistent kills, and makes it really vulnerable to getting killed, especially in comp setting where to weapons can pincer it. It can be ok on aggressive frontlines like sploosh who want an entry tool that isn’t as restrictive as kraken, but it does nothing for a midline like the well string, who doesn’t want to move into opponents turf, and usually likes to take advantage of cover and uneven terrain, which stamp hates.
It’s only value on the weapon is as a panic button, but it is one of the weakest panic buttons, as it’s outclassed by splashdown, booyah, (bubbler?), and even reef-slider on a weapon like well string.

I just want to say that as long as you have special power up on almost all four of these specials for these kits you should be fine for beneficial profit towards winning trust me I’ve done well with these specials with special power up.

I think than nintendo have a favorite child. Stringer: 1 of the worst kit of the game, 5 meh at best/bad kit. Splatana: 1 broken kit, 5 interesting/strong kit '-'
And I'm not even talking about the main weapon balancing...

All I wanted is a stringer that is good but not early reeflux good that makes me feel bad playing because I know the weapon is annoying.
