    Grew up in reading in the 80’s and 90’s. Relocated to SolCal over 20 year’s ago. So my daughter was in high school a few year back and had a teacher that was a former FBI agent, and worked in berks county area. My daughter tells him that I’m from reading. She said his eyes bugged out his head and he said “ your dad grew up in reading and now he lives in villa park?” He could not believe it and set up a meeting. So I met with him, Come to find out he knew all the players in the drug game including some close personal friends of mine 😂🤣. Moral of the story is keep grinding and you can put yourself in more favorable conditions

    Born n raised on the 900 block of Mulberry. As soon as I started making real money, I moved about 20 minutes into the country. Only reason to visit that city is for real deal Puerto Rican and Mexican food. I love and hate my hometown. No matter where I go, my head is on a swivel. Thanks, Reading.

      I share a similar story. I had it relatively easy compared to some kids I knew growing up. I definitely saw some shit. Moving just 30 minutes out of town in high school and the kids out here thought I was some kind of criminal just because I came from Reading. I have a clean record and they're the ones who were constantly getting arrested for dealing drugs and stealing shit. Make it make sense.

    Reading is the most (70%) Hispanic city in PA and top 5 in the whole north eastcoast... Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Mexicans etc

    • @samanthab1923
      @samanthab1923 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why is that? Always wonder how people find their way to small PA cities. Easton too.

      @@samanthab1923 rural PA always had a small number of Hispanics who worked on farms etc... The whole eastern PA, not just Philly, been a big migration spot for Puerto Ricans for decades... Then many hispanic started coming from NYC and Philly thinking these smaller cities are cheaper and safer, trying to leave the big city

    5:03-5:04 God that's gotta be the oldest building in Reading! I've never seen rocks and stones added in the construction between the rough hewn logs.

      Yes. You’re correct. That is the oldest building in Reading, PA. It’s the Speckled Hen Cottage Pub.

    Why are the streets so small? I’ve never seen that before. They look more like alleys.

      City is almost a few hundred years old and they were thinking more about horses than garbage trucks fitting down those narrow streets when the city was built.
