I paid $3800 for a 2006 Tahoe z71, very stock, very clean, has 230 k mile but I’m 16 so I don’t really care. I wanted to do a 4 inch leveling lift kit, 32 inch tires, a bull bar, and tow mirrors. My Tahoe is white so I feel that putting cheap black tow mirrors would look dumb, but that’s why I’m doing the bull bar and black wheels to really tie it in together. I don’t have a ton of extra money as I also own a 2001 f-150 with 200 k miles. The issue is the rust on it. My Tahoe only needed the front bumper and under the gas cap treated for rust whereas my truck basically has no bed. Good luck and I’m excited to see the rest of the build come together !
I can't wait to see that body lift video drop. I've got a 3" body lift for my GMT800 Tahoe sitting in a box in my garage and I'd love to see someone with my experience post a video on it before I start tearing my truck apart.
That vechicle stands out like a sore thumb. The City is not used to seeing lifted vehicles. I once drove my lifted suburban to Mass and everyone was looking at me. I felt like I was on center stage...:)
Jon I’m getting to raptor spray my rear bumper and wondered if I should spray the liner under the bumper caps?? I didn’t know if the caps would go back on if I did. Thanks in advance
I’ve been looking to trade in my 2013 Tahoe with 175k miles but with these prices I think I’m keeping it and will just fix it up and get the engine together.
You should also replace your body mounts and engine mounts. It’ll probably give it a more comfortable ride for the wife. Mounts are rotten out I’m pretty sure. They can also give the Tahoe a shitty ride
Definitely want to hear your feed back with new mounts and with having the lift kit. Want to see if it’ll make a difference. My Tahoe is stock height and ride comfort is everything. But you’re the reason why I got a Tahoe in the first place lol
How's the Fab Fours roof rack working out for you? Any issues/feedback since install? Damage, rust, leaks anything? Only reason I ask is there is not much on it here on YT and you are one of the few with one from what I have seen here (about to install mine).
No problems at all. It’s really solid-no rust or leaks. Install was pretty easy as well. I might do a review video of the roof rack soon. What vehicle are you putting it on?

Everyone I talk to advises against body lifts on older trucks. Brittle wiring etc. I have the 6 inch BDS kit on a 07 Tahoe.
