My God does this bring me back to my 1972 H1 disk brake model. Both horrifying and ridiculously satisfying in some crazy mishmash of engineering unbalanced lunacy. The bike personified my youth, terror, joy, fear, terror, joy, horror, wonder, giggles, etc, etc, etc. All the emotions in a matter of minutes, deeply ingrained in my memory. Thank you for sharing all that luscious cylinder fin rattling experience once again for those who knew the madness and sometimes splendor of the H1. Ciao.
Damn I miss these bikes. I was a Kawasaki tech back in the day and owned five of these. Two 1969's, two 1975's and a 1976. I modified them all, ported, 34 mm carbs, Denco open chambers and lots of careful tuning. God the acceleration and wheelies were fantastic and the fact that I weighed 120 pounds at the time helped. Drag raced one of the 1975's for several years, best time 11.54 at 117.33mph.
Wow beautiful! Thank you! My pop got me a KH400 when I was 14, couldn't sleep after I got her home, ended up riding all night...hey I didn't NEED sleep!
i agree but kawaski dealers do not want to work on this model anymore. i was a person who owned many of these bikes back in the mid 80's, back then a mid level port and polish was 19 dollars per cylnder, in 1991 i was told by the kawi dealer that for that service it would "cost me nothing but money". i dont know of anyone who still makes after market parts, i can rebuild these motors damm near with a blindfold on but the things needed to make these bikes monsters are no longer avialable to the faint of wallet. sad but true.
I agree they don't want them anymore. Back in 1980 I took a 72 H2 to Kawasaki of St Pete in Fla. and they screwed it up bad. Never ran right after the port and polish. My point was to bring back a new line. I don't care if it's Yamaha or Suzuki. Just fun 2 stroke action. Thanks Noel.
A wag once said Kawasaki’s H series were chainsaws with wheels; it’s up for grabs whether that description is disparaging or a complement. All I know is that I wish I could ride one for more than the ten minutes I had back in ‘71 . . .
In reality these make about the same as a 500cc motorcross bike, around 60 hp. There is much room for improvement on these if you have the means and skill to improve them..
Dr. Hugo G. Hackenbush no disrespect intended, but these are over 50 years old, can you imagine getting off your 305 super hawk or xlch and hopping on a rocket like this in 1969 ? I still have mine, and JeezLouise what a rush it still is! A word of caution never armour all the seat!

What a fabulous soundtrack! These early H1 models are so gorgeous, the styling and red paint is a winner. Let The Good Times Roll!

nice roads.........nice day .........nice bikes................thx for the ride..........proper 2 strokin'.........wb
I had the 1972 350 S2 triple, and I still have it to this day. Great bike, and lots of power and torque for a 350.
As a 1974 H2 owner - this video makes me so happy. Thanks for posting it! ~smile~
The Kawasaki Mach 3 has a unique sound - induction roar plus exhaust howl. Fantastic!
Awesome. Reminded me of my 1970 H1 I had in the early 70s when I was young, LOL. Loved that bike.
So cool, brings me back...thanks for posting!
It's not right, you torturing 50-somethings like that lol 😉
Great video!
We have to find a way to get these 2 stroke road machines back into production. We the people want these bike made again! PLEASE

I take that as a compliment...except it's THREE chainsaws welded together! lol
This is gonna be my dads next bike project! Gonna be great to add another classic machine to the garage.
That's not a road, it's a paved goat path...
amazing bikes!, need to find time to restore mine soon
Had a H1 in 74' was my first street bike as a 15 year old. Was a ton fun ! Regret selling it to this day!
15 years old on a h1 500? Imagine that today.. Not gonna happen😁
@@htothejay Yup even got air at 105mph street racing a z28 lots of crazy fun never forget those days. Still ride the dirt 250sx !
Had an H1 in 71... then an H2 in 72.. wish I still had that H1..
Looks good, sounds good, I got to get me one of those!
Thank you for selecting a road with a tunnel!!😎👌
je herkend het typische Triple geluid. Net als een moderne Triumph maar dan 2takt. Waanzinnig om te horen!
Love it . Great sound!
Thanks for that I need a lie down now. 1973 H1D was mine (Green meani)- friends had the H1B (pearl candy orange) and H2 blue '72.
How I love that sound!
When the motor hits around 5. to 6.000 revs sounds amazing
What country is this in? Definitely not worried about a rabbit hopping out on the trails. Holland maybe?
Just brilliant
Music to my ears . Had a 75 H1
Like giant chain saws on wheels
LOL 😂 Yeah totally agree
And here’s me sitting in my lounge with my 500 H1A parked beside me, getting my kicks by watching these Guys... HMMM!! time to go for a ride 💙
Fastest I ever made in 1/4 was 12.8 1969 500
We used to call anything past the 9k redline ‘rocket power’.
Excellent!
nice vid loved watching, guy shooting the vid, your bike is the 1969 first year? guy in front is on a 1970 or 71? all stock both bikes?
Such tiny roads!
The roads are extra wide
I was very surprised the first time I shifted to 2nd and the front wheel left the ground
Hi - Love the video - would it be OK to use it on my Classic2Strokes Facebook page please (obviously will credit/link to you) - many thanks!
Hi there, no problem at all, thanks for sharing!
@@johnnysv2447 Thanks very much!
素晴らしい。
Wylie Coyote rocket sled.
Is dit in Nederland?
Looking at their other H1 videos, yes.
The guy filming with the go pro behind his buddy....are his handle bars bent?

OK! good♪
Hoekse waard rules.. klinkt goed mannen
Stereo triple music
Where is the wheelie? If powerband I think thats slow. I'd tune it, change the pipes and then feel the thrill.
If you're not pulling the front wheel off the ground when accelerating you're babying it.
