- First test ride with the Higgspeed chambers on the triple.
Top end jetting is great but it’s rich down lower. Experimented by leaning out the air screw which helps, but upon more testing and paying attention to my throttle opening, it looks like I’ll have to drop the needle a notch to the number 2 position.
Great to finally ride the triple this year.
I had the 1976 KH 500 with denco expansion chambers..
Man I remember those! Not much on handling and brakes but oh they could scream!
Thankfully the ‘76 has a stiffer frame than the earlier ones. Handling has been okay as long as I keep in mind the era it’s from. But those brakes could sure use some upgrading lol.
Nice bike. I put new Higgspeed chambers on my restored purple '73 H2 about 14 yrs ago. Wish I didn't sell it because it's worth a fortune now. I noticed your labored breathing. You might want to have your cardiovascular checked out.
Thanks, ive been checked out. Been that way ever since I got Covid. Sucks but it is what it is. Doesn’t slow me down.
Thank you bringing back so many great memories, 2 stroke bikes are so much better imho. I had the Kwaka series from the Z400 all the way to the Z900, never let me down. UK Biker here watching this
I grew up on 2 stroke dirt bikes. But somehow I missed out on the 2 stroke street bikes when I was younger. It’s sweet finally getting to triple on the streets. Thanks for watching.
Looking forward to further test sessions! 😀
It’s going to be a rainy weekend. So good time to work at dropping the needles.
Sounds identical to my vmax700 sled at idle
Just need to hook those new motors to trannies and stuff em into bikes.
Might drop the needles 1 notch
Yup, that’s what I did last weekend. Update video to come in the future.
My m8 pinched his dads H2 when we were kids in the 90s nearly killed me lol prob the worst handling bike ever lol
Hahaha I’m sure y’all had big smiles on your faces. These modern Bridgestone BT45’s make a world of handling difference on these bikes. Plus the frame on the ‘76 is much stronger than the previous years.
