Loved the short, succinct, and to the point explanation instead of any extraneous cuteness. Including the ‘good enough for government work’. My attitude exactly. Also loved your dog getting you to breeze through the obvious parts. He was getting bored.
I am so glad I found this video. I purchased 4 of the same toilets from Home Depot about 2 years ago and they all were experiencing this issue. I’m so glad I don’t have to replace the toilets and I’m going to replace all of the fill valves instead. You Rock!!
Literally just happened to me as well, ripped up the floor and took the toilet off, put it back on it wont fill back up. This is such an easy fix thankfully.
Wow, thank you! I went to Home Depot and explained the problem and the guy there gave me a whole new kit that cost about $35 and you gave me the best remedy ever! That’s all the toilet needed so I’m going back to Home Depot and get my money back!😡Thanks again
Perfect. I’m a single mom with two kids. This video made it easy for me to fix it. Same toilet. Same issue. And your video made me laugh I was worried.😅
We have had nothing but problems with this damn toilet since we purchased it 2 yrs ago. We have replaced replaced replaced on this thing. Even had a plumber come out and was told these things are nothing but trouble for most people. So yeah- good luck. And your commentary had me in stitches. 😂👍🏻. Thanks and good luck. We are now down to turning the damn water line off and on every time someone uses it. We are buying a whole new toilet. This brand and style is not worth it. It’s like manufacturers are going downhill. Nothing lasts. Nothing. Ok. Rant over. Lol. Thanks for the video. It was my last attempt before deciding we are chucking this style. 👍🏻
Have the exact same model and problem. The process was less than 10 minutes to fix. A guy quoted my mother $100 but only spent $10 on the korky fill valve. Thanks for saving me some money!
Thank you so much for this video. I was able to change out my fill value by watching you. Well explained, and your dog is cutie. Again, thank you for saving me money.
Thanks for this video! I have the exact same toilet with the exact same problem. Followed your video to the T, problem solved 🙌🏾with a couple chuckles along the way, loved your quirk humor.
Thank you so much. Same thing happened to me I took the lid off and put it under my bed. Now that I’m selling my house I needed to fix it. One quick TH-cam search and you had it perfectly mapped out. Headed to Home Depot now! Thanks again
"The most unsatisfying erotic literature I've ever read"... Thanks for the very easy to follow video and for throwing some humor in there. Off to do some "good enough for government" work!
And this is what I ended up doing, and it worked great! And actually...I didn't realize that the reason the toilet seemed like it was running was because it never fully filled. So changing this fill valve out allowed the tank to properly fill with enough water, and my toilet now flushed with SO much more strength. A pleasant side-effect!
Ok. Newby move, I didn't shut off water at the street, then followed your instructions. I guess my toilet valve wasn't working, so I'm just about done mopping up my bathroom. Water was really hard to shut off!! All in a dress.🤷👗
Thanks for this. Been having same problem with my GB dual’s tank-filling, and I’m not the most technically skilled guy let’s say 😅, so I will retry per your easily-followed vid steps. 🤞🏻👍
Wow! Man you made this look too easy, that I thought me the worst handyman could get it done, everything was fine until it was time to turn back on the water!! It leaked badly from the hand tighten screw, luckily I had the old one on hand, I used it instead and wrenched it down just a bit! No more Leaks!😂😅 Thanks for the Video though!
Having the same problem. It seems like the fill valve is rubbing on the side of the tank even after I adjusted it a counter-clockwise turn. I might have to use the fill valve from my old toilet. Why do they make the hole on the bottom of the tank so close to the edge?
my mom's landlord got a new high efficiency toilet from glacier bay which has low water level in bowl - it's the single flush. basically the cheapest one at Home Depot for $ 109. (she rents). We don't like the low water level in the bowl and want to find a workaround to add more into it rather than buying a whole new toilet. Would this korky fill valve allow for an adjustment so that it could actually bring more water into the bowl? Any other tips? Thanks so much.
Usually you can push down on top twist and top comes off or loosens. Let it fush out put back on could as new. You can do it with water on but just barely lift let it. blow some water out and screw back on because water will come blowing all over the place.
I have the same set up, and on the right side where the black tube leads to the overflow I have a problem, the water starts to fill and then about halfway the float thing on the side of the overflow goes up and the water from the tube just starts going directly into the overflow and I have to manually hold it down for the water to fill the toilet…. Any solutions ?
I have the same issue. It doesn’t refill on the first flush but if I flush it again it starts refilling. Seems like maybe it needs to be cleaned somehow?
Wait your top came off so easily mine dosnt come off like that you cn slightly lift it up yet it feels like it's attacked to something inside and pulling it might brake what ever it's attached to
I was wondering if I was the only one, guess not. Here is the crazy thing, I purchased two of these, by a difference of about 2-3 months. These with the black fluidmasters are completely trash, the one with the white fill valve for some reason seems to be designed differently and doesn’t have this issue. The same exact toilet too, this is completely crazy. I was wondering why the other one didn’t have this issue, now I know why… dang design
Just love the humour you added. You also made it look easy. Looked up this issue for my daughter while I'm minding her felines. I'll let her figure it out. I have my hands full eating and watching Netflx! 🤭
Have had one about 10 yrs. Look at the overflow tube. Water can't be above the overflow tube opening or water will run out. Apparently this is so they can use the same tank on toilets that use more than 1.6 gallons per flush. Good luck.
Thank you. Will try this. Hate the toilet though for myriad reasons. Poor design and doesn’t clean the bowl well. That they put this to market without improving the design first yo have it work like other toilets is disappointing
Thank you for getting right to the point without all that music and intro and talking about your life story
Did not expect to laugh out loud twice from a 3 minute toilet repair video. Bravo.
Thanks to you I fixed my Glacier Bay toilet with no issues. Wife is happy, kids are happy. It's a win for everyone. Thanks!

I agree....So glad I found this video as well.
My wife said if I fixed the toilet I'd get a reward. So thank you for making last night possible 🙌
lol best comment i've ever gotten!
And what exactly was your reward? 😁😁
What did she do?😈😏
The best reward a man can get from a wife is the one she gives you at midnight 🤣🤣🤣
You lucky dog. I hope it was an all nighter.
Not only did this help with my replacement inquiry, but your commentary made me laugh along the way. 😂

This is the clearest video on this problem I can find and i have been looking for days.

Probably just luck but I installed 2 of these in my house in 2016 and this problem just started on one of them about a month ago.
Have the exact same model and problem. The process was less than 10 minutes to fix. A guy quoted my mother $100 but only spent $10 on the korky fill valve. Thanks for saving me some money!
This video is superbly on track for a fix like this. EXACTLY what I needed to fix mine.
This has been driving nuts! Nuts I tell ya! This video was exactly what I need. I appreciate the sense of humor also. Thank you!

We bought ours about 6yrs ago and noticed it's filling very slowly. Will give this a try. Thanks for the video.
I was nervous but your video helped me alot. Thank you.
Glad it helped!

Thanks for the very easy to follow video and for throwing some humor in there. Off to do some "good enough for government" work!
Thanks for the upload. This is the identical problem I'm having with my G.B. toilet. Will give this a shot tomorrow.

Does your fill valve rub up against the side of the tank?
Thank you for this video! My fill valve broke and now I have to swap it out (and I don't know anything about plumbing!).
Great video thanks I will be fixing this and not freaking out about it now!
Thank you so much. I got the problem just like yours, and I'm glad to see this video. It really helps.
I bought three of these for my home and all had the same issue. Will be doing this ! Thanks for the video!
Ok. Newby move, I didn't shut off water at the street, then followed your instructions. I guess my toilet valve wasn't working, so I'm just about done mopping up my bathroom. Water was really hard to shut off!! All in a dress.🤷👗
Extremely helpful. Followed step by step and it's working fine.
Thank you for making this look doable and EASY! 👍🏻

Bro you saved the day , wife thinks I'm an expert plumber 😂😂
Wow! Man you made this look too easy, that I thought me the worst handyman could get it done, everything was fine until it was time to turn back on the water!! I have exact same issue. I very lightly tap on the screw like you did and away it goes. But you go right away to replacement. Why? What’s wrong first?
Thank you so much! It helped me out so much in understanding my issue. Great explanation, super understandable.
Thank you so much, I am able to fix my toilet issue thanks to this useful video
The comedy…pure gold
Ahahaha! Thee Dog!
“Hurry up bud you’re boring us”
May be easy for you because you understand how this stuff works. This helps me resolve a most annoying problem! 😀
Thanks for the help! Happy wife, happy life!
Good video love your sense of humor 😂
Thank you your presentation was so easy to understand thanks again
Thanks for the guidance. This fixed my problem perfectly.
Glad to hear it
Just did the job as shown in your video. Thanks for saving be a bundle!
Can’t believe I was learning and cracking up 😂😂😂
Lmfaooo he said “ till I got it good enough for government work” lmfaooo 😂😂
Thanks for the video!
I was struggling with the same issues
Thanks I just followed ur instructions and was done in a jiffy but that metal clamp sucks!!! I just cut up and put it in
Good video!
Thanks. Love the Dog cameo!
I have the exact same issue, pain in the neck, it looks like a minor issue, thought its easier fixing rather than spending money buying a new one.
This is the exact problem and you are an awesome person for helping me fix this 😁👍🏼🐉
Glad to help
Thx for the video -- you made it look so easy I may try to replace it myself and I am not handy at all!
Thank you. Having the exact same problem. Time to head to Home Depot for a new valve!

Worked like a dream
Thanks! I've come to the conclusion that these Glacier Bay toilets are garbage, so I'm going to do the same as you...buy a different fill valve.
Usually you can push down on top twist and top comes off or loosens. Let it fush out put back on could as new.

Love how you effortlessly included the word erotic into ur plumbing video....gave me a surprisingly uplifted feeling, lol 😆
Thanks man this is a good DIY video 👍🏻👍🏻
Can it be cleaned instead of getting a new one.
I have the exact same issue on the same toilet. Thank you!
The jokes made me subscribe 🤣🤣
Thanks for this video it helped a lot!

"I am calling it fixed".....l will be be using this line from now on

thank you!!!! toilets not flushing is real. (thanks for making it funny.)
😂😂😂😂😂 @ Homeless Despot! Thanks, you saved me
Great video; right to the point!

Looked up this issue for my daughter while I'm minding her felines.
I'll let her figure it out.
I have my hands full eating and watching Netflx!
🤭
Lol yep! If I can figure it out then anyone can. Enjoy your Netflix!
@@thefiXfiles
I certainly will. 🤭
Nice dog
Thanks ❤️
Thank you, very helpful.
Did this fill about half the tank? I just purchased this model and wondering why it’s filling only half the tank?
You probably need to use the adjustment screw to open it up to allow more water to flow or your center shaft is not tall enough. Just spitballing.
Have had one about 10 yrs. Look at the overflow tube. Water can't be above the overflow tube opening or water will run out. Apparently this is so they can use the same tank on toilets that use more than 1.6 gallons per flush. Good luck.
You're a Godsend!!
Ty!
Excellent
thanks
Thank you. Will try this. Hate the toilet though for myriad reasons. Poor design and doesn’t clean the bowl well. That they put this to market without improving the design first yo have it work like other toilets is disappointing
Yeah I feel the same way. I wish I never bought this model. Home Depot is still selling it and I cringe when I walk by it in the store. Junk.
This is happening to my brand new toilet, it's trying to fill so the water just keeps running 😢
I just bought this toilet, installed it but I want more water in the bowl anyone know how to fix this problem?
👍
This will be my 3rd time replacing this piece... ughhh i hate this toilet
Exactly wuts happening to my toilet
I bought one of these toilets and somehow it turned into a different toilet while inside my garage and locked inside my car.
I hate when that happens.
