  • Embracing the adage, "Quand lou blad vèn bèn, tout vèn bèn," which translates to "When the wheat thrives, all is well," I've embarked on a culinary journey, celebrating wheat in its many splendid forms.
    This festive season, I've crafted an array of wheat-based delights:
    - A sumptuous Beef Wellington, reminiscent of a classic Pâté en Croûte.

    - The quintessential Yule log cake, la Bûche de Noël, a dessert that captures the essence of the season.

    The Provençal Christmas season, la Calendale, commences on December 4th, Saint Barbara's Day, and continues until Candlemas on February 2nd, the traditional day for bidding adieu to your Christmas decorations.
    This year's celebration was a heartwarming gathering of friends, where we indulged in both traditional Provençal dishes and contemporary Christmas fare, blending customs old and new. The festivities were made even more special with a gift exchange during our intimate Christmas Santa.

    Lovely and yummy! Seeing your cheese reminded me that I have to flip mine in the cellar! I have 5 little cheeses. Hopefully they will be good in some days! ;)
