      I order from RahRaw. They have 60lb bulk boxes for $150 ish. I have 5 frenchies. I get titan red. It’s already balanced with bone, organ, meat, fruits, and vegetables. I add in supplements and some dried herring fish. They go crazy over it and it actually cost us WAY less then when we we’re feeding Royal Canin kibble.

    • @BigDogMom

      Thank you for the great question! Unfortunately, I don't have any specific recipes that I follow. I vary what I feed pretty regularly and use the calculations shown in this video to figure out how much of each ingredient to feed. There are many options within each category (meat, organ, raw meaty bone, veggie, fruit, fat, etc), so really the recipe is whatever you want it to be. If you would like a detailed recipe for your meals, I did do a very comprehensive review of raw feeding mobile apps - several of which DO give you recipes to follow. Here is the link to that video: th-cam.com/video/BdmUqdbMcQA/w-d-xo.html. Another option is to go through a website like Perfectly Rawsome. They will create recipes for you for a fee. I hope this helps!!

    • @BigDogMom

      I only buy from one of two raw food co-ops in my area. I can also get some raw items from the local Amish and from family that have cows. Blessings and great info once again, I want to do more raw feeding but my dogo has a sensitive stomach and also raw feeding can cause the stool to be a runny at first right and if so how long does that last, let me know please thank you much and God Bless

    • @christinec.3817
      @christinec.3817 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would think some raw (properly made) would be good for sensitive stomach. Always transition to new food very slowly adding a little at a time, this should help with loose stools. Also you can add some Slippery Elm or Marshmallow Root to help with tummy issues, both help the stomach. Sometimes going to raw, a dog goes through a "detox" period that seems like it's not working, but be patient, it's their body getting rid of the garbage stored from commercial dog food 😁🐾.

      @christinec.3817 true. My past dog would poo about 4-5 times in one walk. It took about two weeks for his poo to become normal. He got rid of all the toxins in about two weeks. If you want hi s stool to become firm in that two week period, give him some cooked white rice with several tablespoons of canned organic pumpkin between his regular meals. Just a cup of cooked rice with the pumpkin, two tablespoons. It might take a couple of days for the stool to become firm. I've fed my new dog raw since he was 7 weeks old. He's a year old now and weighs 160lbs. No fat, just thick bone and all muscle. He is a South African Boerboel

    • @BigDogMom
      @BigDogMom  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm so sorry! It's hard to know how to help without knowing what you are feeding. When you watched this video, were your percentages about the same in terms of meat, bone, and organ? What else are you feeding? Allergies (typically from a protein source) can also sometimes be a culprit, so maybe look into that as well. Are you giving a probiotic? Typically a healthy dog on a raw diet will have loose stool (not runny diarrhea) from not enough bone or too much organ. I wish I could be more helpful. Maybe share a little more detail and I can try and offer some more concrete suggestions.

And I do switch back to kibble when I run out of raw - or do a combination of the two. I really don't stress about it. I make it work for us.
