Seems like a pretty biased review. It's a $600 watch. And the comparison is against a $20k watch, and then you bash it. What was the point? Was it to show off your Royal Oak?
Thank you for this comment I was thinking the same thing. Of course Tissot is not going to directly copy every design queue of the Royal Oak. It’s an alternative not a direct copy. Hence the title of the video. I think the PRX deserves way more credit. The PRX is the best watch for its price range period.
Being the owner of very expensive watches and now being older and wiser, I’m now drawn to relatively inexpensive but decent watches. A watch like this prx is what would make me happier. It’s mostly a steel time keeper. I rarely spend much time admiring a finely finished movement.
I would say the PRX has more value than Royal Oak because both tell time objectively. That's their basic job. Experience and preference are subjective. Royal Oak is not 30x more watch than the PRX.
30x ?? More like 100x considering current market. As you tell, both tell time and both are made of stainless steel, both are made in switzerland....The Tissot also offers more power reserve and twice the water resistance. The Royal Oak ain't even COSC !
you sound mad that someone would dare put a waffle dial on another watch and mistake it for a royal oak like it demeans your own AP or something lol movements not that great at all? lol on a watch that once discounted might be able to get at $500 with an 80hr power reserve… can you really ask for more? lol
I have an Oysterquartz and honestly I can say that a lot of people will say they look identical. It’s a beautiful watch without a doubt but price comes along way too
I think Maurice Lacroix Aikon 39mm is something for any ordinary person to have a little bit of feel and experience from the VC OVS or AP RO. The price is fair for having a cheap reliable SW200-1 and superb finishing.
Dude, I agree to your opinion integrated steel bracelet with perfect fit will always feel better on hand compared to any other rubber, or leather straps. The bracelet regardless oyster, jubilee or any form of it will always feels good, wraps around the hand nicely and doesn’t cause any irritation all days. Eventually, the feel will blend in and sometimes you forget you’re wearing a watch.
Definitely considering this one. Btw, the bracelet does in fact have chamfers to go with the ones on the case- on the inside edges of the links. Really makes the bracelet pop with excellent light play, IMO.
This will probably be my first 1 watch collection...its so well rounded for me... Sporty but still classy ,100m WR, good size for my 7.5inch wrist, integrated bracelet that looks great, saphire front and back , swiss made, decent price...what more can i ask for :D
I’m so jealous… I actually went to a Tissot boutique last week and tried on a PRX but it turned out that it was too big for my 5.7 inch tiny wrist. I wish Tissot made smaller case size versions of them…
Thanks for this video. I bought the PRX today because I like her and for that price I think it is a good starter watch in that luxury world of watches. I did not know till now that it seems to be a copy of the Oak. never mind. If you prefer the OAK than why not buying it if you can afford it.
Great review! For the price, the PRX is definitely punching above its weight class and near unmatched but I completely agree that it didn’t need to do the tapisserie / waffle dial since it makes it look like it was just trying to be something else instead of its own thing. Looks like Tissot put quick release spring bars for a future strap integration but haven’t released straps yet!
I have a '91 7019--8180 black 'grid' dial Seiko that has more characteristics of the PRX than the PRX shares with the AP. I agree....there is no reason to compare it to the AP, especially when you look at the other PRX dial colour options. AP doesn't have a straightforward grid and many other watches do. I'd say it's like saying this blue car is ripping off this blue car because they're both blue and cars...but I don't think anyone comparing a Ferrari to a Corvette should be taken seriously.
Easy choice the PRX looks much better, not a fan of screws on the bezel distracts from the face because the screws are prominent and seen first--- Also like that the date is framed on the PRX.
I thought it looked more like a Rolex Datejust Oysterquartz since both have round and generally ressemble each other more and look less than the AP Royal Oak
If I may… I understand that the PRX has the design cues, and mimicry of a AP… but to say it’s a complete copy isn’t fair to the fact that the PRX is ALSO a resurrection of the Tissot Seastar from the 1970s. I said good day!
Having watched a bunch of videos on the PRX, yours is one of the best because of the unique comparison you did. While the PRX with the blue waffle dial takes design cues from the famous Genta design, it is its own watch too. To be compared to the AP by someone who owns the Royal Oak is appreciated.
Thanks for your videos. I enjoy watching your channel. I used to work corporate for BVLGARI. You should review one of the Gerald Genta designed BVLGARI Octo watches one time if you get a chance. Also, congrats on the 37mm Royal Oak. Looks great on you!
Fantastic and informative video. Most people shopping this watch will never have the opportunity to own an APRO so the PRX purchased by itself, without comparison is a helluva piece at this price point. Especially pre-owned in the mid-low $400's (a steal) For me, this in a 38mm would be perfect. It does wear large like you mentioned.
I thing PRX great watch to star not everyone as 50k or more in the bank to spend is only 1% in the wold can have a royal oak so most of the people or like me the i always been a watch enthusiast is a great option to star a collection good movement well constructed ...
I own a 15500st a 5968A and the PRX powermatic 80 is getting lots of wrist time I feel the watch games over hyped. No way the 15500st is worth even the retail price when you see watches like this.
my best royal oak "alternative" is zenith port royal surf 01.0010 from the 70's, it has a modified eta too. i have the 32mm blue dial with the original steel bracelet, all in nos condition and i simply love it.
Aside from the Royal Oak and the Overseas, I genuinely think the PRX beats all other integrated bracelet in any price range when it comes to style. Most of the other options are just ugly in my opinion, including the Nautilus.
Great Video :) Could you please do a video of Seiko's legendary 62MAS or Reissued SLA017 alternative? same or similar design with affordable price! OR you can even build one yourself!
650 for a cery old design a bling bling cheap bracelet....ridiculous watch for the people they like the watches like expensives watches Compare ap and this ridiculous tissot?
Not good review …. You’re very biased for the AP….. its a $650 dollars watch and you’re compared against the AP so no to much to say…… also in the 70s almost all the watch brands take the GG design and make they watches ….. a $650 watch with 80 hours power, butterfly clasp, sapphire crystal, integrated bracelet….. win win win
I promise mod videos are coming up :)
I hope so!! Or else
Seems like a pretty biased review. It's a $600 watch. And the comparison is against a $20k watch, and then you bash it. What was the point? Was it to show off your Royal Oak?
for real seemed like a flex/ reason to justify to himself he spent such a crazy amount on a watch
exactly the same thoughts.
Dude hella funny, he tried so hard to flex 🥹😂

Right frankly the prx is a far better value and spending that kind of money on a watch compared to 33x is certainly a flex.
Being the owner of very expensive watches and now being older and wiser, I’m now drawn to relatively inexpensive but decent watches. A watch like this prx is what would make me happier. It’s mostly a steel time keeper. I rarely spend much time admiring a finely finished movement.
Get the bi metal version. I have it. It's stellar

Honestly I don’t think any watch is really worth more than around 3k
Got that Tissot, most accurate movement I ever had, runs around 1s behind/day, amazing.
Love it.
Same here
you sound mad that someone would dare put a waffle dial on another watch and mistake it for a royal oak like it demeans your own AP or something lol
movements not that great at all? lol on a watch that once discounted might be able to get at $500 with an 80hr power reserve… can you really ask for more? lol
Reviews $650 watch: "I don't expect much for its price". Me wearing an old Seiko asymmetric tachymeter "lol aight..."
It resembles alot with the 1977 Seastar Quartz, same year Rolex put out their Oyster Quartz which also looks similar.
I have an Oysterquartz and honestly I can say that a lot of people will say they look identical. It’s a beautiful watch without a doubt but price comes along way too
it was originally an oyster quartz copy and still is. Don't see any AP comparision. Going to pick one up today
I think Maurice Lacroix Aikon 39mm is something for any ordinary person to have a little bit of feel and experience from the VC OVS or AP RO. The price is fair for having a cheap reliable SW200-1 and superb finishing.

Which one tells Time better? Whats the plus/minus seconds daily on each? Which has better power reserve and water resist?
Definitely considering this one. Btw, the bracelet does in fact have chamfers to go with the ones on the case- on the inside edges of the links. Really makes the bracelet pop with excellent light play, IMO.

@@L3M0N4D3C4NDY it has a 35mm version.
I think the back one is the only sapphire not sure tho.
I still had to buy it. I love the PRX its just crazy good for the price! AND it gets so much wrist time it even surprises myself!
Thanks for this video. I bought the PRX today because I like her and for that price I think it is a good starter watch in that luxury world of watches. I did not know till now that it seems to be a copy of the Oak. never mind. If you prefer the OAK than why not buying it if you can afford it.
I have two RO Hommages, the PRX and the ML Aikon and they are imho both great watches.
It's definitely a cool looking watch! It actually resembles the Rolex Oysterquartz...
For sure has OQ traits!
Maybe it looks more like a ... surprise, surprise, a vintage Tissot Seastar.
@@AxLWake That's because the vintage seastar got it's design cues from said watches...
@@Watch-Crazy no, was from Gerald Genta cues, same for many other watches at that time.
@@Watch-Crazy also both Seastar quartz and Oyster quartz came out the same year in 1977.
The dial is a "copy" but the case has legit heritage.
I think the tissot resembles the Girard perregaux Laureato more than the royal oak
I hope they bring out a 37mm version
i got the prx black faced quartz-efficient light weight perfect modern watch-i dont worry about wearing this fine watch in the big city:)
Other than the obvious Seastar model it was re-issued after, it resembles an OysterQuartz more than that Omega.

This review was far from being great

What is acceptable for the second hand dial? Mine is moving around +2.5 seconds a day. Is this Oke?
I thought it looked more like a Rolex Datejust Oysterquartz since both have round and generally ressemble each other more and look less than the AP Royal Oak
So basically you’re saying it’s the same thing ?
ap
If I may…
I understand that the PRX has the design cues, and mimicry of a AP… but to say it’s a complete copy isn’t fair to the fact that the PRX is ALSO a resurrection of the Tissot Seastar from the 1970s.

What size wrist in the video?
And you say under 8-7 inch wrist? Is it under 8 or under 7 inch?
I would say the PRX is more like the Rolex Oysterquartz 17000 than the Royal Oak.
Or it just look like a ... Tissot Seastar from the 70's...
My prx has no lume on it but pictures I've seen online show it with lume?
How about the maurice lacroix aikon? How does it compare?
Great to see another video, you’ll always have a like from me whenever you post 👍🏻
I'd say it looks more like a VC overseas than any royal oak...

Well, the PRX gives you a framed date window. I will never get a Royal Oak until they add one. It looks unfinished…
This was a great exposition of both watches. As long as you're doing comparisons - how about a video on the Longines Spirit vs. Rolex Datejust - ?
Fantastic and informative video. Be ambitious man! Hope you're doing well.
Do you have any tips for measuring the wrist size using their paper method? Do you just measure with a slight extra bit of space for comfort?
honestly, Why always compare with AP?
I think it look like Rolex Oyster Quartz more........
Reminds me more of a Rolex Oyster Quartz Date ref.17000. Comparison to a Royal Oak missed the mark.
Looks way more like the Oyster Quartz. Awesome watch, though.
Yeah I prefer the dial of the quartz PRX.
I thing PRX great watch to star not everyone as 50k or more in the bank to spend is only 1% in the wold can have a royal oak so most of the people or like me the i always been a watch enthusiast is a great option to star a collection good movement well constructed ...
Great Comparison. Glad to help.
Where can one get a custom rubber strap for this (or any other) watch that has yet to have official alternatives?
I own a 15500st a 5968A and the PRX powermatic 80 is getting lots of wrist time I feel the watch games over hyped. No way the 15500st is worth even the retail price when you see watches like this.
Hey man! When are you posting your Rolex Datejust 16234 review?
Ill be on it!
Have you tried the Frederique Constant High Life?
What about the Tudor Royal?
Bro can you upgrade this watch like with a Rolex look alike ring top
This watch in Turkey is still 520$.Don't miss it
Compare to Vacheron Constantin 222 in steel (think from the 80's)
Frankly I think the Maurice Lacroix aikon is the best APRO alternative
Agree and I own one on black dial in 42mm. Great finishing on case.
PRX all day :)
Leica Q2 in the back? @ 1:14 😂🙌🙌
my best royal oak "alternative" is zenith port royal surf 01.0010 from the 70's, it has a modified eta too.
i have the 32mm blue dial with the original steel bracelet, all in nos condition and i simply love it.
You killed it with this one man 👏
Aside from the Royal Oak and the Overseas, I genuinely think the PRX beats all other integrated bracelet in any price range when it comes to style. Most of the other options are just ugly in my opinion, including the Nautilus.
If they made it just alittle smaller….
Have you ever heard of Grand Seiko? Best watches in the world? In every category? 4 times cheaper than that ugly AP?
Can't stand the that shape on the Royal Oak, looks like the watches in the boxes at Macys for 50 bucks. Tacky design. Love the Tissot and that Omega
Hmm idk what you were expecting. For $650 the prx is sensational, but it aint $30k
I would compare to watches with the similar price range not with a watch worth 30 times more than itself.
Hahahahahaa you are actually spending a lot of time comparing Tissot PRX to AP Royal Oak. That's amazing for Tissot! That's a $650 watch bro! Amazing
The RO is worth 5-6K maybe. The rest is brand and speculation
Well done bro
It's price? And serial number??
These two watches are similar in the way that a Fiero with a Ferrari body kit is similar to a Ferrari.
love your RO 37mm😅
The PRX is better, should have bought 33 of those IMO...
Great Video :) Could you please do a video of Seiko's legendary 62MAS or Reissued SLA017 alternative? same or similar design with affordable price! OR you can even build one yourself!
Looks like ap homage. I like the blue dial in quartz model. Unfortunately didn't use it to automatic..
Royal oak’s real cost to make os around 3000usd rest is their name
كم سعر
hey man, side note: you play guitar huh? you have those guitar calloused fingers
Haha, spot on
Hey Erick👋
This is literally just a video of him bragging about his royal oak....completely apples and oranges
Good job mr flex 😂
What was the point of this video...
Just got one for $520. Brand new !
You're comparing apples to oranges!
In a parallel universe, Tissot could be the one that costs 30x more
This guy just bitter cause he's obsessed with his AP RO
It's too big for your wrist. Like a boy wearing his father's watch.
He Inherited alot of money but girls wrists 😂
Clean the watch before
Yeah, the PRX looks better. Sucker.
650 for a cery old design a bling bling cheap bracelet....ridiculous watch for the people they like the watches like expensives watches
Compare ap and this ridiculous tissot?
overpriced for a tissot
Just a stupid remark or do you have some reasonable arguments? This Brand has a history since 1853 and developed many modern watch features .
