- Press conference by Jalil Abbas Jilani, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on the situation in India.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Jalil Abbas Jilani, said, “We would like to have peace with India, but at the same time it will be contingent upon the resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions.”
Speaking to journalists on Friday (22 Sep) on the margins of the High-level week of the General Assembly, Jilani added, “It is because of this factor and the kinds of steps which India had taken on 5th August 2019, to further deny the Kashmiris their rights, including the attempt by being made by the Indian side to change the demographics of Jammu and Kashmir, that is something that is of great concern, not only to Pakistan but also people of Jammu and Kashmir.”
The Minister said this “is certainly an issue of great importance”, concluding, “That's the core dispute between India and Pakistan. It is because of this issue that we have had tensions, conflicts and wars between our two countries.”

The UN council leaders should no longer consider themselves in control of any mandates concerns with regards to the needs of the world's peoples when they are only concerned with one/few of their neighbors and do not exercise "FAIR" and Equitable stability towards all people of the world..
He must first read and understand the resolution passed by UN on Kashmir as has been the case with all Pakistani he has either not gone through them or is purposefully ignorant of the facts regarding resolutions passed on J&K. They were conditional and sequential in nature and implementation. Pakistani state hasn't fulfilled the first condition which was of withdrawal of all Pakistani forces from POK , therefore all subsequent conditions are not applicable as a result. He believes he can fool around, but instead makes a fool of himself infront of whole world to see.
