I looked at one of these in a local shop. It's a copy of the Marlin 39, but with production shortcuts and not as nicely finished.

Winchester used 22 magnum magazine tube on reg. 22 long rifle to cut production cost all the same.never put magnum in there it will jam the crap of your gun or damage or both.

I bought one also, it fired about 150 rounds and action failed to close all the way. Took it back for a refund and bought a Henry lever. I hope you have better luck with yours.@@djcrash1104

Fake marlin 39a
Does it make you feel special to blurt out nonsense? Its a replica not a "fake". If you dont like it and prefer marlin thats fine but chiappa is actually a great company that makes quality firearms so maybe look up the defination of the word fake before you use it improperly and look silly.

@@djcrash1104 I bought a pretty expensive modern 22 that isn't accurate enough, like hitting a squirrel in the head every time at 80 years, accurate. I have an old marlin glenfield 80 dollars from a big Indian girl that is great, walmart $35 scope and all
I have a Marlin 39 that I’ve had for 35 years and it is very accurate. I don’t recall what I paid for it but its value has really gone up.

I haven’t had a chance to shoot it yet but for the price it looks pretty good. Much cheaper than my other lever actions.
