Hi Jenic. Where can I buy those titanium urethane paints, black and especially the 15k urethano gold clear? In places like Amazon USA there is nothing similar.
i still havnt been able to get any laquer gloss black to stay shiny and not die back to a satin. iv tried the slowest thiners and multiple coats. iv tried clear on top after proper dry times. still doesnt stay glossy. what am i doing wrong with thee lacquers?

Hi. In light-sensitive work, urethane paint is more advantageous than lacquer paint. The coating is also much stronger than the lacquer paint. However, there is a disadvantage that it is a little more expensive and burdensome to use with accurate lime at a certain rate each time a curing agent is used.
제가 지금까지 도색을 하면서 아직도 해결이 안되는 부분이... 실버쪽들의 색상은 크롬이나 리핑계열 도료들이 있어서 거의 금속과 흡사한 느낌을 낼수가 있는데 문제가 되는게 항상 골드 입니다. 골드도료가 골드도료라는 성분이 있는게 아니고 실버도료들에 금색입자를 섞어서 색을 만든다고 들었습니다. 그래서 골드쪽은 항상 칠해보면 뭔가 애매하고 아쉬운 느낌이 많이 듭니다. 지금 영상의 18k골드 우레탄 클리어의 경우도 사실 100%아주 만족스럽지는 않습니다. 조금만 더 밝았으면 하는 느낌이 있는데 아예 아주 밝은 실버를 깔고 올려보면 더 좋을지도 모르겠습니다. 요 근래 틈틈히 골드 색깔들을 모두 이래저래 하지를 바꿔가며 테스트를 해보고 있는데 뭔가 나오면 영상으로 한번 업로드 해보도록하겠습니다. 감사합니다^^
Urethane paints should usually be dried for at least 24 hours at room temperature. Sanding and compounding are optional. Normally the curved surface of the part is not a problem. On a completely planar part surface, a phenomenon called orange peel occurs. It means that the light is not smooth and the surface looks like orange peel. To eliminate this phenomenon, sanding and compounding can produce much better surface light.
A lot of what he uses are Korean brands that are difficult or impossible to get in the US. The Gaia paints he uses on some of his other builds can be found at a few US online stores like VolksUSA. To try to do what he does, you'll have to make some substitutions using things like Mr Metal Color or Alclad. The only brand of urethane paint I know of in the US is Splash 2k. I think that covers most of what we see him use. It should be very possible to get similar results to his with what we have available in the US.
Unfortunately, the paints I used are only available in Korea. I've been looking for a painting that's as close to gold as possible recently. I'm doing some testing with lacquer gold paints. When the results come out, there will be a chance to explain the gold painting once.
안녕하세요 마징가 같은 경우는 해피니스 우레탄 블랙을 사용했습니다. 그런데 예전에 쿵스 우레탄블랙도 사용을 해봤었는데 전혀 그런 현상이 없었는데 좀 이상하네요.... 셋팅이 다른 점이 저는 1.8바 정도로 사용하고 멀티신너는 50%정도만 넣었습니다. 100:10:50 요 정도 였습니다. 신너를 너무 많이 넣어서 그런거 같기도 합니다. 메이커 불문하고 보통 우레탄 블랙의 경우는 차폐나 진하기가 상당히 좋은데 뭔가 잘못된듯 합니다. 신너 희석 비율을 절반 이하로 줄이고 한번 해보세요

일년이 후딱 지나갑니다... 한해동안 고생많으셨어요 제닉님께서 만드셨던 네러티브버젼 한정판 페넥스말고 음... 일반 페넥스가 코팅되서 나오는데 아시겠지만 이게 게이트 자국도 자국이지만 색감이....... 물빠진 18k?!

도색을 하기 전에 미리 조립을 해서 도색계획을 세우고 전체적인 모습을 실제로 한번 보는 것입니다 ㅎㅎ
어떤 특별한 이유는 없지만 대부분 도색을 하시는 분들은 가조립을 먼저 하고 있습니다.
