I just picked up a 2.3 mac, waiting for a carb kit but it's almost spotless, it has an 18" inch bar, it was 32 us at one of the indoor flea markets, you and the walkers are a big inspiration for me looking for oldsaws
My 77 year old dad said the Power Mac 6 were used a lot for wood carving. He still has my Grandpa's, but that would be my mom's dad, not his dad! It's in our barn on a homemade shelf made from wooden pallets and cinder blocks. It would be the only thing I would have inherited from my Grandpa on my mom's side of the family! My dad's been thinking of getting it running again. The more I think about it, the more I can't believe how many saws my dad's got!
What a GREAT VIDEO !! 1 video with The Master Bobby, B.B.R.S, and Victorious in it, well their ya GO !!!. Peace to the B.B.R.S. Family and Mom. The Gunner.
I'd really like to see Buckin use a small saw (like eager beaver 2.0) to do some big work. Us 'weekend warriors' only use small saws but i've taken big american elm with my tiny 2.0 and would like to see Buckin tackle big stuff with an underpowered saw.
unless you never really used a Mcculloch, the torque is a cult following! I would take them over anything out there now. People now a days just want a saw giving to you perfection out of the box, a good Mcculloch requires someone above that! That`s why their still here and will be a icon forever.
When I was a teenager, I worked on two old McCulloch saws, one from the 70s and the other from the 80s time period. Both were tough saws. I also worked on a Pioneer/Partner saw with a 36" bar. Too bad they don't make them like they once did. I am glad the saws of today are lighter, quieter, and probably safer.
There's one fellow I have removed several trees for. He has a Partner saw half buried in his shed. Boy I would like to get my mits on that one! Just to check it out, see if it will start, see what chain they used, and all that.
great vid as always,i have a few diff.little macs.,120,130,6,ect.how many cc's is that 10-10.i have the 7-10 and think I was told its in the 60-70cc range
hello. i m from Portugal and i love to know there are more people whit the same love for this machines like me. i have a mc 10-10s and is a special one hehe. husky stay in home. i há ve a question for you, what is the best set up in bar and chain for them? thx for the nices vids.
It is insane how much more power you can get out of those things with the bigger exhaust alone. The damn intake is the next hold up you cant really overcome without chopping up the body...
Buckin what do you think of the pro Max 610 I just picked one up for $6 I put some fresh gas in it she fired right up it was missing the dogs I made a set of dogs for it that's pretty good is that a decent saw I'm not really a McCall guy I runs stills
+Buckin' Billy Ray Smith ok just wondering never owned one of them old macs but they seem pretty great may have to keep a eye out at flea markets and yard sales now thanks for great videos
+Buckin' Billy Ray Smith you still need to find a Pro Mac 7-10 or Pro Mac 700 Billy Ray! Lol! Add to your McCulloch collection! Next month I am getting that Jonsereds 2166 paid for and will have to do a video of it against my 700! Billy Ray, check out this TH-cam channel for yourself, afleetcommand, it's a guy up in Central New York that's an engineer that lives on a farm and he's all into Husqvarna chainsaws! He claims that the Jonsereds 2166 is a red Husqvarna 372, the main difference is that the Jonsereds 2166 has a metal divider on the cylinder head that if you grind it out with a Dremel will make them the same as the 372. I know this guy knows what he's talking about. Check him out, afleetcommand.

..these Pro Mac 6's, always seemed better built and ran better/more reliably than the Mini-Mac series..balanced better, and a bit easier to work on, too...but they are far less common to see than the Mini-Macs...
Gotta love the sound of those old Macs...Yeah baby....

+David Powell funny eh ,, I like em heavy and loud, for pleasure ., but light and loud for work ,, which is actually pleasure , ha ha .
+Buckin' Billy Ray Smith Yeah - Let's face it, we don't REALLY want to be dragging 37 pound saws around a job, ALL day, EVERY day....
I never said I was smart, when its in the wood it ways nothin'lol Ha

I seldom see any Partner saws now, they were tough in there time. I bet that fellow would sale the saw for little! Make him an offer.
Where can i buy those old mc culloch?

Gotta love em! Lightest Chainsaw in the world? I don't know.... I'm kinda partial to my stihl 009's .
009to090 its not the lightest chainsaw in the world Stihl 192T is 2 ounces lighter and the Stihl ms 150 weighs 5 pound 6 ounces
Buckin what do you think of the pro Max 610 I just picked one up for $6 I put some fresh gas in it she fired right up it was missing the dogs I made a set of dogs for it that's pretty good is that a decent saw I'm not really a McCall guy I runs stills

hey bucking found a old mini Mac in my yard under a bush. how do u tell if it's a six or one

had a mac saw years ago I think it was a pro 60 got stolen out of my truck best saw I ever had.
I just picked one of these up last night for 10 bucks
Buckin sorry to be dumb here but how do the husky and Mac compare Is one bigger than the other is is the Mac just that great
+Jason Cagle the mac sp 81 has 80 cc husky 372 has 71 cc but remember 40 years between them so actually quite a fair face off

would you be interested in selling any of the saws you have ? I need a bigger falling saw.
+Anthony Smith . I don't sell many things ,,, buy ,, different story
Stihl ms 192T is lighter i have the McCulloch just like you have
The old man's saw was starving for fuel a little bit.
Just picked one up for $35
Hey i got one of those
I chalk a lot of your winning that race up to "experienced sawing"...
ya theres never just one reason to winning a race eh Samuel l Jackson , i wish you inner peace and happiness my cyber friend
+Buckin' Billy Ray Smith Hey! Thanks for the well wishes! Right back atcha!!! Can I wish you a Great Day, for American Independence Day?
yip becuase it was Canada day as well buddy
Big kid
Pm 6 weight is 7 pounds 4 ounces Stihl 192T weight is 7 pounds 2 ounces not the lightest saw in the world and Stihl has a ms 150T weighs 5 pounds
..there were no Stihl 192T's or 150T's in the late '60's when these came out...pretty amazing if you asked me :)
