    My ears perked up at the beginning every time I heard "Zero Golf Mike". The Aviators are looking great Max. World class views on this one. The laps around the Statue of Liberty were awesome. I almost felt like I needed to break into song with our National Anthem. God Bless America!

    This was fun Max! When I was flying my CRJs for PSA, Bluestreak!, which I heard on this flight!, as an FO we would fly up the W side of Manhattan and then fly down East River land on 22. Was like I could reach out and touch the buildings! What a view! GoPro doesn’t do it justice!
    I wish I could share pictures here. Last Sep wife and I went to the city for 20th Anniversary trip. She had never been. Friend of ours who flies/owns a Mustang who lives on LI picked us up at Islip in his Agusta Helo, flew us around Lady Liberty, up the E River, across Central Park then landed us on the W side helo pad! What a great flight that was. Also went in his seats to last Yankee home game. His seats are right behind Yanks dugout!

    Appreciate your radio technique. There's almost always time for a brief exchange of courtesy. I've never tallked to anyone that didn't appreciate it. I had an an approach controller tell me once that he wished "the big boys" would make the effort to make an initial call like mine. I was floored, and luckily I had someone aboard who could witness that a controller actually took the time to say that. I thin it just helps create the best relationships - which can be important. Bravo Zulu, Max! Say Hi to CitationMom and her cookies!

    Max, still not sure as to why you would want to make your, or anyone else's, yaw wetter, as in adding a yaw "dampener." It's a yaw "damper," not a "dampener."

    • @zkc16youtub
      @zkc16youtub 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @JedStrogan The device is a yaw "damper," not a yaw "dampener." I suspect you are not a pilot, but perhaps you should make at least a rudimentary effort to familiarize yourself with aviation equipment and terminology before attempting such erroneous corrections. www.aopa.org/news-and-media/all-news/2010/december/01/yaw-dampers#:~:text=The%20term%20%E2%80%9Cyaw%20damper%E2%80%9D%20(,would%20not%20turn%20very%20well.

    • @zkc16youtub
      @zkc16youtub 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Treejumper Please see my reply to @JedStrogan as it quite clearly applies to you, too.

    • @zkc16youtub
      @zkc16youtub 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @JedStrogan No, professor, "dampener" is a noun, not a verb, and a yaw damper "damps" the yaw, it doesn't "dampen" it, so, once again, your feeble attempt at some sort of "correction" fails miserably. As to my pilot/aviation credentials (or any lack thereof), you don't have a clue with regard to who I am, my qualifications, nor my experience---although I will admit that I am somewhat surprised that "LibertyForAll" appears at all in the FAA DB. I can also state with absolute certainty that any experience/credentials/qualifications I do possess far exceed yours.
      In any event, you have yet again clearly displayed your lack of piloting/aviation experience, not to mention a lack of linguistic skills, and you really should consider quitting while you are only way, way behind.

    • @zkc16youtub
      @zkc16youtub 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Enjoyed the video - brought back memories - have done that sightseeing trip many times our ot FRG, to Tneck, across Central Park and down the Hudson, around Lady Liberty and then return. White Plains: on a business trip out of FRG, landed there to pick up a passenger, was warned about wind shear, added 15 knots in a T Tail arrow, hit the shear, goosed the throttle and nothing, finally got a climb, but never again flew a T Tail anything. Regular tail reacts instantly to the prop - not a T Tail.

    I’ve done the Hudson corridor twice in a Cherokee, both at a 1000’. You’re absolutely right about the traffic, the first time was on a Sunday morning and it was nuts! Mainly the helicopter tours, they were below us at 500’ and were everywhere. Way to close in my opinion.

    It's one of those things, you work so hard to get into jets at FL40, then after a while you long for the bumpy VFR at 3500. What's fun tho, is going back to a non-performance piston and doing an IMC approach near minimums at 90ish knots. It's the longest 4:00 minutes in your life!!

      The SR22 is not a type rating unfortunately. I’m just type rated in the SF50 and CE525S

    I was born in NYC and lived there most of my life. Been to the SOL many times. This video was very special to me. Thank you!

    Nice flight Max, love how you take safety so seriously. Shows how professional you are. I'm an older guy unfortunately don't have the skills to fly so watch you and Premiere 1 .

    26:54 - that's the Belle Fair in Rye Brook. IIRC, they wanted HPN *shut down* due to alleged excessive noise! Did it not occur to them that the airport was there first - no one forced them to buy a home there!
