What is success?: Jessica Hamilton at TEDxSouthBankWomen

Jessica is a dynamic marketing professional who has demonstrated the ability to lead diverse teams of professionals to achieve business growth in highly competitive commercial environments with passion and innovation. She was recognised as the Queensland 2012 Deloitte Business Woman of the Year and was also recipient of the 2010 Australian Marketing Institute Award for Marketing Excellence for best 'New Brand' in Australia. Alongside her professional career, Jessica has been involved with the not-for-profit sector in various capacities for more than 15 years. Today, Jessica is a Director of the YWCA Australia. Early in 2012 she attended the 56th United Nations Commission on the Status of Women in New York. She's a mum, a netballer, a keen traveller and passionate about helping people achieve their potential. Jessica is sure to inspire.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Yes success means the accomplishment of goals you set for your life. But true success means having health, true respect, and happiness.

I received notification of your video in a mountain village, Mae Salong in the very north of Thailand. As I drank a fresh draught of Roanjy Oolong tea I listened to your thoughts on Success ... I think maybe Tom hit it on the head ...which one are we measuring? All too often we perceive success as viewed from others' perceptions. It matters not what others think only what we say about ourselves.

Excellent summation of different viewpoints on what success is - very inspirational and on reflection had me thinking. I definitely plan use this as reference material.
