Do YOU fly in the day before your cruise? Subscribe for daily cruise tips and tricks!
Galveston is our home port. we live in the DFW area. But we still drive in the day before. And the two cruises out of Florida we flew in 2 days before.
Always.
I leave out of NYC where I live
Holland America is however a very good line of you just want to sit and chill.
HA is for senior citizens. Everything closes around 10 pm. There are so few on ship facilities.
@@lrajic8281 Exactly. That is why it is a good choice if you want to sit and chill.
@@lrajic8281 And the problem with that is?
First cruise next month! Flying in the day before, have travel insurance, thanks for the other advice. Going on Royal Caribbean to Alaska, so excited!
My husband and I went to a shopping seminar once because we heard there was a prize being given away. We never planned to shop at any of the stores, but I did win a necklace!
Taking cruise #9 and my first time flying in the day before. I'm older now and not want the stress of a possible flight issue
Carnival fits me best. ❤
Agree with all of it. Those shopping seminars are a total scam. We never fly in the day of. Wayyy too stressful and full of anxiety. Don’t know how people do it. Carnival is our cruise line.
We went to the shopping seminar on our very first cruise. Never ever again.
We dragged the husbands there and they laughed and carried on the whole time. It's a very fond memory.
@@junedunne 😂😂😂
We flew in 1 time the day of the cruise. We will Never do that again
I fell in love with Celebrity
Clean , spacious, no waiting on embarkation
2nd cruise, we did a shopping seminar on a sea day, and they dropped a bomb stating that they would be late getting into port, but the good news was we could get free tender tickets, and get into port 2 hours early while the rest of the ship was waiting for a couple of the mega ships to clear the port.
We were getting married, we HAD to be on that tender so we could pick up paperwork and still have time to get married.
We always fly in the day before the cruise.
We're flying in a few days prior to do some sightseeing with our adult daughter. Staying nice and close to the port.
Yes Indeed We ALWAYS Fly In A Day Before To Get Our Party Started. 🎉😊
I like to fly in a few days before my cruise to get to see around the local area
My first cruise (5 nights to Cabo and back), we didn’t even think of insurance. Huge mistake. I got injured in Cabo and required emergency surgery. We had to pay $16K up front. I was on a shore excursion but NCL didn’t care, they told my husband they could pack up our cabin for us. Luckily, I made it on the last tender and finished my cruise but it was costly.
Best medical care I’ve received however.
Wow! You're resilient.
Depending the Port a Day or Two ahead..& After..
I used travel frequently. I packed a clear toiletry bag that I used for traveling. With this bag, I never had to remember to bring things. They were always ready to go. I just refilled what needed to be refilled. I also, stored this togo back in a suitcase.
Definitely NCL. I like you that's the alcohol package doesn't cost money ( besides the taxes). I learned from a friend that carnival actually limits how much you can drink even if you're paying out of your pocket.
#1 is #1
I am waiting for the day one of my friends miss their cruise, they always fly in the day of and they never purchase travel insurance. I could never do what they do, I would be so stressed out OMG
I would lose my mind - I guess they like to gamble
Do try to fish off the ship, they dont like that
I always get a cabin closest to the restroom to avoid delays in long lines
We fly a few days before our cruise always gives more time for everything .and we fly out a day after we get off or two so we can rest and not rush
Been on Princess, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival. I gotta say Princess is the best and it’s hard to even consider going on a different cruise line. However it’s more for adults but we do bring our daughter on Princess ships. Royal Caribbean is best with families with kids. My daughter has been on their ship as well. However with the ports we do Princess suits us better because we don’t want to be stuck with just Caribbean cruises especially when we live in north west of Canada it’s a long at least full days travel to get there on minimum 3 flights.
Try HAL We enjoy Them also ..
We always take the stress out by flying in day b4. I saw the scam in my first cruise yrs ago, so no seminars for me. Norwegian is my line. Hard to try others once you start getting so many perks! 🤷🏾♀️. I love my line anyway.
Who do you get travel insurance from?
What if I got jumped and I asked a worker and he said deal with it?
❤❤
Is the insurance you buy with the cruise line enough?
It can be - my biggest issue is the evacuation coverage can be low.
My personal preference is to have at least 250k (although I am more comfortable with 500k)
Thanks for watching .
@JaysonJudson it's my 1st Cruise so idk what to do with so much of it thank you for answering me
jesus dude.... felt like i got chewed out by you the whole time
Is the travel insurance the same as the insurance you get when booking your cruise? Or are you talking about external insurance companies?
Always a 3rd party insurance. The cruise line insurance is lacking. We like Allianz insurance.
I don't get how crusing can become a profession, it is hard to make money when all the ships have high fares to make money on the boat.
