I've had my Ruby for a month now and I couldn't be happier, what an amazing paddle. So easy to figure out and dial it in.
Glad you have been enjoying it. Seems to click for a lot of people quickly or they don’t like it right away.
I think you described this pretty well. I don't call it plush. To me, it has crisp, but not jarringly hard feeling, and it pockets the ball well. It has a subtly unique feeling.
How did it feel going from an engage pro mx to the Ruby? Not sure if that was your sequence of paddles ?
Completely different feel between the two and hard to switch between. The Engage Pro MX just is a lot hotter with the pop. I’ve been using the Ruby for a bit longer as I keep bringing it back out.
I purchased the Mark Kinetic and have not looked back.

The 6.0 Ruby has to be the most overhyped paddle of 2024 and we are only in April! Several other options for much less money but as good if not better.

Pop is severly overrated and control is far more important, in my opinion. I feel you only need a modest amount of pop.
I hear you it seems like a lot of people feel the same way. At the end of the day if you can’t control the pop then it doesn’t matter how good the pop is.
I have the Ruby and ironically feel like it still has too much pop for my tastes. I switched to the Neonic Flow and found the best combination of control, power, and pop. I never thought the Ruby felt very plush or at least not even close the how plush the Vatic Prism Flash or Neonic Flow is.
@@duanehensley8835 Sounds like you will agree with my best control video I’m working on. The Flow and Prism feel amazing for control.
@@AllDriveNoDropPickleball For sure, but I think the Neonic Flow is not just a control paddle. I think its a great all court paddle due to it's power and adequate pop. The Vatic Prism Flash has practically no pop whatsover and renders it mainly a control paddle.
@@AllDriveNoDropPickleball If you are going to do a viseo on best control paddles you'll have to include some of the Selkirk models as well as the Volair Mach 2 Forza and the Gruvn Muvn 16 MM S.
