Awesome video Camway! Some of these are really creative, I never would have thought to use a Procoptodon in PVP and I never see people using Microraptors as often as they should. The hit and run tactic for Thylas is something I'm going to try for sure.
It works great! we kill gigas in cave fights with hit and run, the enemy gigas cant fit everywhere so they cant chase. Keep damage applied and they cant cryo lol. I was raiding a base early on in ark on a steggo and a guy comes out of his base with a kangaroo I laughed and then he kicked me toward his base where his team mate ate my steggo with a giga the roo wouldn't let me leave lol Since then its in my base defense line up lol
Depends on how they were using them I guess. Some people like to set up melee golems to throw rocks and a player in scuba gear might just get 1 shot and their dinos bounced back. The biggest thing I can think of using golems for is if someone sets up a fob without tek turrets you can use them to rush the fob. Even if they die their bodies will Los the turrets. The best defense is a great offence. Due to golems natural resistance unless you hit them with tek explosives or a giga they are really hard to kill and can just be a pain to deal with. They are also really good for killing wild dinos that might spawn in your base. They can be an los issue though if you have them too close to your turrets. A lot of players will use any dino with a turret mode as a defense dino without really thinking it through. Underwater stay up high and move fast and the golems are useless as turrets. You can also kill them quickly with a tek saddle or rifle.
Good catch! Gigas ignore damage resistance so steggos Trikes Golems ect // I was probably thinking of their rage giga on giga fighting saddle armor makes no difference for rage.
Are you interested in Palworld?

Aren't Mantises also good for Defense?

Hey cam can you tell me why people used rock golems for underwater base defense on ase. Playing an Asa server that has them
Depends on how they were using them I guess.

Its because Golems don't have an oxygen stat so they can stay underwater forever, and you can't shoot rockets underwater (which is their weakness).
Since when do gigas ignore saddle armor??? I think you are confusing them with theri
Good catch!
