The BEST Small Turret Tower Design | ARK: Survival Ascended

This turret tower is one of the most modifiable and adaptable designs for its size category, and it holds up quite well for its size. If you are looking for an early game turret tower design to stave off enemies from your base, I would recommend trying out this design! What is great about this design is that you can ACTUALLY Refill the Turrets! No more grapples and hassle.

Awesome I'll be using this for our starter towers until we feel like making the giant ones, may even keep these around the giant ones in tek gen range later too. I like how easy it is to fill and place turrets. Underrated benefit during raids

A friend named Logan taught me how to hover turrets. Build from thatch first and place turrets in the center. Then replace the thatch walls with double doorframes. Gives them 360 degrees of firing

Why somany on the wall? They wont target you if ur higher up or flying by

Walls, just like in caves, have amazing 360 FOV. This is where you’re mainly try to prevent early PvP around you base and low level flyers. There’s a few on the top, and I did test this flying by as the enemy. If you’re directly on top, only 2 can target you BUT, in order to GET directly over, your bird is not going to make it (again early game)

You can just walk up to these on a stego and blow them with no more than 2 rockets.

Obviously stego tanking is always going to be a thing. This is great for early to mid game, especially to keep flyers away. If you’re dealing with Stegos, then at that point, it’s a full fledged raid.
You can also place some on players only so that they target the Rockets being shot. We use this on official.
Only way to prevent is either you would have to go into a cave or build massive skeleton towers that’ll buy you more time. Soaking turrets can never be avoided, it’s just about buying time imo

Also wanted to add, since i did forget, I would recommend making sure you're on hardcore mode if testing stuff out. I did use C4 and rockets, it definitely takes more than 2 to knock it down if you did drain all the ammo. So, I think you'll be safe enough to respond to an attack!
