Would like to see them create a curl bar. Also, I think the pricing is too high at this time. You can DIY this setup for much less. However , I still give them props for bringing this to the market. Hopefully it helps other brands consider similar options.
@@luigibonini I’ve found large triangle carabiner’s at a local hardware store. They have a substantial weight rating and I’ve never had one bend or break. I also used non-slip barbell clamps to hold things in place and it works really well.
I love the combo of the Clench Foot plate and the Nexus Bar. In the small area I have in my apartment to workout in, the ability to use heavy bands in combination with the plates gives me some great options.
Great review Discipline Dave. I visited the company's website and $350 for a bar that only hold 200 lb of free weights is not very much. But they claimed the band resistance is 1,000 lb
The bar is primarily designed to be used with multiple resistance bands combined with weights that can provide up to 1000lb of resistance if you are strong enough to lift it
Question Dave. How could I do bench presses with this with the bands attached along the weights? Also, a huge game changer for handles for my loop bands was...I bought 2 Geku bars off of Amazon, unscrewed the smaller portions and screwed the hooks on to each one. The comfort level and ease of the exercises dramatically increased. Was really able to focus on form and slower eccentric movements.
Great video , the bar looks promising. Mr.discipline I love your channel because its dedicated to home workout, but I noticed that there are two topics you didn’t talk about: 1- the workout splits you tried and your opinion about each split. 2- how to measure calories in the food and calculating our required calories depending on the goal.
You need to dig deeper into my videos my friend. I cover those topics here. 1. th-cam.com/video/dRWvjWrovCU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cVO2DnKamwoXwQMg 2. th-cam.com/video/syTSv2vxrTI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=xfrhQ3r3sxQfq7OD
What gloves were you using at the beginning when using the resistance bands it’s red and black I’ve been looking for a good one and didn’t wanna bite the bullet on the undersun gloves too many mixed reviews

Yea I would like to see a curl bar also
Use a pair of the globe, round fat type grips on the bar to give you an angle closer to a curl bar.
Where do you find similar carabiners to fit even big bands?

@@JamesDGarland thanks for the tip. By the way, just found collar hooks here on the channel, they seem what I was looking for!
Been using mine for about a week and I have to say that this bar is incredible
I know right!

I made DIY footplate from professional-grade cutting board and 1" furniture risers, but you could also use hockey pucks
Great review Discipline Dave.

I mean 200 pounds combined with just a couple of bands is a whole Lotta resistance.

The F2 Bar is another option and even more versatile. It allows you to use loop bands, tube bands, Olympic weights, and isometrics.
Great Review. FYI when purchasing a barbell of any kind no equipment manufacture sends clamps with the barbell.

thanks, man @@DisciplineDave
I am team “ Whatever it takes”. Might try some bands
Looks like a great bar if you have free weights at home. Unfortunately not enough space in my apartment to keep a bunch of plates.
Well you really don’t need a lot of weights. The bands can give you most of the resistance
@@DisciplineDave also the matter of not wanting to drop another 350 on a bar 😂
@josephroa4475 I understand 😂
It’s a straight bar. And if you just have one option, would you go with the bodylastic bar or the straight bar ? Thanks

Great News! The Nexus pro bar is now around $297 plus they even offer occasional discounts.
Sweet
Speaking of "game changers" Blake says he had you and other content creators out to test drive the bands machine. What did you think?
It was really awesome. Where did you read or see about me hanging out with Blake to check out the machine?
