Juste quelques précisions :
- Attention en enlevant les aiguilles de bien les soulever par la partie centrale noire et pas par l'aiguille en elle même
- Lorsque qu'on remet en place les aiguilles, ne pas les aligner avec le "zéro". Il faut les positionner entre 2 et 3 millimètres en dessous du zéro
Il faut prendre le 7v ou le 8v avec résistance ?

Very good. Now how about do same to A class W168 with flat cable using T bar and solder iron to fix it to the board. I've been looking for a demonstration of how to do this. It being a common problem for the A class model between 2002-04.

Hey! Can programming a new speedometer be done at home? My factory one wasn't working correctly, so I bought a new one, but it doesn't show the total kms (only 4 lines). I asked a mercedes dealer and I got an offer for 600 eus for repair cost. Thanks!

Is this the same procedure for a 2007 C-230? The instrument cluster and screen look the same.

@@pixelfehlerhamburg9956 how do you get the needles to re-align once everything is reconnected? Mine are moving to the wrong position once the cluster turns on.
What if I just unplug the odometer order a new one and plug in will it work like that or it requires programming??

1) funktioniert die 8 volt version auch ohne löten des widerstandes?
2) Nach dem Zusammenbau einfach den Stecker einstecken oder muss die Mercedes-Software installiert werden, damit das Display funktioniert? ... danke
Hallo, entweder das Display funktioniert sofort oder es muss der Widerstand eingelötet werden. Es muss keine Software installiert werden.

My W169 LCD is dying and the only problem I see with replacing it myself is finding out if I need the 7V or 8V version....so....what will happen if I put a 7V LCD in a 8V instrument cluster without the resistor?? I don't have the connector you use to find out what version I have. There is no other way to find out?
Hi Ridder, no worries. You can just install the lcd and see if it works. When all is fine, ok. If you can´t see any signs, numbers then you have to solder the resistor. Normally nothing can happen if you try the lcd without resistor.
@@pixelfehlerhamburg9956 And the other way around? I've seen 8V versions (without resistor)...if you put that in a 7V cluster and you see nothing....than you need to buy the other version....you can't remove the resistor if it not there....

Der Drehzahlmesser unserer B-Klasse W245, Baujahr 2005, lügt. Manchmal zeigt er mehr, manchmal weniger an, aber manchmal bleibt er auf Null und bewegt sich nicht.
Wo soll ich nach dem Grund suchen, warum hpol so viel und so viel anzeigt? Was könnte der wahrscheinlichste Grund sein. Eventuell ein Lötfehler? Oder könnte ein Kontakt defekt sein?

@@solosolo1255 Yes, as I can see. I have my W169 with the 8V version, and need to reach 7V at the points. I am waiting 6 month for the reply. The colors are not good readable at the video. Is it so hard for all there to answer ???
