The second Legia tifo is a protest against the corrupted European Football Association UEFA because Legia was fined for the 1944 tifo as it was a political statement in a match arranged by UEFA.
@5:56 that's a major difference in American attitude and European attitude. In Europe you are part of the crowd, your function is to help home team to win, no one cares whether or not you can see it. Get over it.
Of course, the sport is merely a substitute for battle, the fanbase would be the same people that would fight when war does occur, just look at the riots leading up to the civil war of Yugoslavia.
@@EM-ic1yp I didn't say that was the cause of the war but leading up to it a huge riot (Maksimir) occured during Hadjuk vs Partizan which was political inspired. The hardcore hooligans of both (and other) clubs were the same lads that were on the front of the conflict and often commited war atrocities.
What are you talkin about?! Come to Europe and see! A lot of these clubs are not even top clubs? Take Dynamo Dresden, they are playing in the third league, in Germany.
In the US sport is show/business, in Europe it is passion and identity. You need to understand where that passion comes from. 100+ years ago, football was the working class man's sport (it still is). When you got home from 12-13 hours in the coal mine or steel works or shipyards, on your single day off; you went to see the game. It became the working class' vent, identity and pride. The Ultras of Dynamo Kyiv became the core of the Azov Batallion in 2014 when Ukraine's armed forces were on the back foot because of that pride and identity. The Ultras also nourishes lots of extremist right/left wing politics, which is why so many accuses Azov of being Nazis; some of them were.

6:08 It's bad quality because it's blurred. Lazio are known to be very right wing and fans did the Roman Ave that was annexed by the Nazis as the Nazi salute.
Sorry but you're wrong, the Roman Ave has nothing to do with the Nazi salute but is a made up gesture of Jacques-Louis David who painted 'The pledge of Horatii' in 1784. Later on in 1892 Francis Bellamy introduced the American Pledge of Allegiance, which was to be accompanied by a visually similar saluting gesture, referred to as the Bellamy salute.
I like you guys but, normally, this video is 5 times louder and the first 2 or 3 could, barely, be heard including the powerful Scottish one from Glasgow Celtic where the whole crowd was singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" meaning fans will be with you thru good and bad times. The songs are sung on the way to the game, before the game,ALL throughout the game and, often, afterwards,as well and I enter my 8th decade in London soon.:)
When European football descends on the American doorstep and some dumb Americans and their authorities start waving their "Big Guns" around thinking they can control us like the superpower they think they are , 100% of the football fans will instantly unite, regardless of creed or team and turn that place into a living hell for them and their guns, 200k European ultras will tip their country upside down overnight, humbling them in ways they can never imagine.

The biggest difference is that most teams in the us are franchises. Football clubs don’t move

Just a banger.
Shall pieces with a huge bang that give nothing to the atmosphere.
It's mostly used to intimidate opponents and authorities.
They take their fanbase more seriously than the sport itself.

'SS Lazio' means 'Società Sportiva Lazio'.
AS Roma however was founded by Mussolini's functionaries...
