7:47 Yup, you got it right: Edward Teach is better known by his nickname ... (not a spoiler alert) ... Blackbeard! ... (The show doesn't clearly state that Teach = Blackbeard, so I'm not really spoiling anything, unless you planned on looking up Teach/Blackbeard in the true historical record of The Golden Age of Piracy on Earth). ... Whether or not he's given up on piracy is yet to be seen...

Finally, someone remembered that the last time Elanor was on Nassau the plan were the pardons, and basically the plan Rodgers come to her :)

Abigail was sent to Savannah. In my fanfiction world😄 she’s further exposed to the horrors of civilization, got an ugly scar to the face from a pervy royal navy captain. winds up plotting with pirates she’s now accustomed to .Fully joins the pirate cause, leads a crew pursuit of the truth to restore and avenge her disreputable family name. All that!😂

5:45 I think the moral gray area is can be power. framing or viewing the question in a power dynamic, civilization goes batsht crazy when their power comes into question, or challenged.

It's a shame that reactions to *Black Sails* don't get the views that it deserves. It's even more of a shame that *Jan and Duke* are not getting the views that they deserve, ... but to quote Clint Eastwood's portrayal of Will Munny in the film *Unforgiven* ... _Deserve's got nothing to do with it._

Blackbeard, aka Edward Teach. Great addition to the show

Name is fitting, it's always unfortunate when the comments can't keep from spoiling things and let people enjoy the show like we did originally

15:46 Let us say you did hire the captured slaves and offered them wages to work on the fort. Sooner or later those willing to stay would notice that you can make more money doing something else for far less effort. If they abandon their jobs like the rest of the island has done then you are back to square one.
That is even assuming most if any of them would be willing to stay and work on some fort they have no interest in rebuilding. It is highly likely that most of those slaves would want to return home.
On the other hand, you could offer them wages while forcing them to stay and work on the fort but then that is still slavery. The whole premise of working a job in exchange for currency is that we can then spend that currency on the things we want. If you are not allowed to spend that money to return home or build a life for yourself then it is worthless to you.

Big Daddy Teach in the house! I love how eerily calm he is as he takes out his brothers-in-law. It's so different from Flint's rage or Vane's brutality. He's an entirely different beast.
I'd argue that pirates killed way less people than Colonial England did so I'm on the their side. 🤣 But Flint really is spiraling out of control right now. (I deeply mourn his beautiful red hair this season tho.)
