Hi, everyone! Thanks for watching this video. Some of you might have some questions about the the supuervisor in the bus. Sorry I didn't explain it clearly in the video. So, here are some info about it: 1.The driverless bus still during the testing phase and a supervisor is required by the safety policy because the bus is on a busy street. Once the tech is mature, we can say good bye to him. 2.All the supervisors have driver license and are experienced driver, so they can understand how's the bus driving and send feedback to the tech company. More importantly, they know how to take control if anything goes wrong. Let's wait and look forward to a better version in the future, when the technology is good enough and a supervisor is not needed anymore.😆 Thanks for all your support! Have a good day!😆

A project to test a new autonomous bus service in three European cities is underway. 15 electric driverless minibuses will be programmed to run 24 hours a day in the Swiss city of Geneva in 2025. Yet the wider adoption of autonomous transportation has stalled, mainly due to safety concerns. 5:43 [World Economic Forum]
That is so cool. The ride seems quiet compare to the buses. Also, I kike how you did translations from Chinese writing to English and how to pronunciation of a word or the name of business. Pretty cool.
An autonomous bus encounters just as many obstacles as an ordinary car or bus. The difference is that the autonomous bus must be equipped with an “awareness” that can manage all the information it receives during its journey. Sensors on the buses allow them to run on pre-determined routes without a driver needing to control them. They have undergone trials at a depot as well as track testing and virtual simulation. The bus drives with guidance by cameras, laser radars, and a master controller, along with a human driver behind the wheel ready to take over in case any problems arise. 2:44 [Edinburgh Live; Daily Mirror; Nobina]
The driverless bus is for free, since it is during testing phase. As long as you book a free ticket on wechat, you are good to go. As for normal manual busses, they will charge you 2RMB for regular time busses (usually refer to 6:00am-10:00pm), and 3-4RMB for late night busses(usually refer to 10pm-2am)

More importantly, they know how to take control if anything goes wrong. And I am also looking forward to the day when the technology is good enough and a supervisor is not needed anymore.😬
