Fabulous video. I am an experienced woodworker, but at this stage of my life I want to focus more on hand work. Absolutely love the simplicity and confidence of your approach. Wood is such a forgiving medium and I really appreciate that you teach that very good results can be reached without having to purchase thousands of dollars in tools. Thank you!! I'll be watching
I have my mechanical workshop practicals tomorrow, I hope I don't screw things up 😢
Thank you very much! Very helpful.

I like your dovetails,Joshua, everyone is so obsessed with making them perfect, the masters in the 1700s weren’t perfect.. just look at the antique road show furniture,it was far from perfect 👍😊
This was excellent.
That's the most helpfull demonstration of the dovetail. Other million videos I watched just make it too complecated. Thank you !
Thank you for sharing!

☺☺
Great video and explanation. No glue is needed?
Very nice. Would you do this on my speaker box if I had the Walnut shipped to you?
Thanks for the video! Any issues with using a Japanese/pull saw to cut the dovetails?
How do you cut a haunch using a tenon saw?
Aren't the pins too narrow and tails too wide? I would think the join would be stronger if they were similar in size.
Thanks Joshua - _very_ helpful.
@everyone_else - Am I the only one wishing the 'thumbs down' peoples would at least have the courage to tell us why?
Right? This is possibly one of the clearest best made dovetail vids ever made.
... a fine tip pencil is just a pacer right?
Sharper chisel would help
Easy, hold my beer....
🤙👍🌴
Well.... I lasted all of about 5 minutes before I through the wood in the trash. Lol maybe next time
Poplar?
"Quick version" Hahaha... That's a riot. Nothing about hand cut dovetails are quick. Not if they fit anyway..
Obviously yours dont fit! When you can do them theyre not slow!
@@gbwildlifeuk8269 Your right mine are junk. And yours look like God made them. Personally I use a jig to build bee boxes by the dozens. Wish I had your Godly skills though.
@gbwildlifeuk8269 Do you have a video up of your high speed precision hand cut dovetails? We would all love to see it.

@mybossisdrunk Triggered? Hardly. Calling out a blow hard is not being Triggered. And for the record I don't get Triggered. I'm incapable as I don't have a trigger mechanism. Pissed maybe. Mad sure. But not Triggered... lol
