Most huskies don't like to be defluffed lol. My pitsky service dog Snow hates to be brushed. She's a pit bull/husky mix. It's a newish breed that's trying to become a registered breed.

Only thing is, I think it's illegal both in the USA and GB to sell any type of clothing, garment, ect that is made with cat or dog fur. Otherwise, she is sitting on a goldmine haha.
Key looks amazing, and your living room survived with the help of your fluff-brushing kit. You just need a massage and nap for yourself afterward, Jodi. Being a husky's human parent is a real job. 💖💖💖
Key is such a good boy when you brush him, and he had a peanut butter lick mat to help distract him.

I have 4 Samoyeds so when they blow their coats it looks like a snow storm in the yard..5 hours min to fully groom them.😄 Love it!!

I've NEVER seen him so quite and still..no STOMP there...He was in a HEAVENLY BLISS..peanuts and a good old scratch on the back...no surprise when he didn't want it to stop...a new side to Mr Key...ADORABLE

Key lucked out with a peanut butter bribe today. It certainly reduced his protests, although he still seemed a bit perturbed at losing his fluff.
The one time he doesn’t take off - after his defluffing. Most other times Jodie is trying to keep him in frame. So that’s what a defunded Husky looks like - a pretty handsome boy.
Toss all that fluff outside and your birds will love you. Our birds use it to make their nests 😊🐾💗

Awww, Key was so patient and relaxed. Just laying there licking his peanut butter. I found it quite relaxing to watch, in a way. But I can see that it's quite tiring for you. 🐕💖
Jodi, I spin fiber into yarn. If you would like, I could spin Key’s fluff into a nice yarn for you. I could even knit the yarn into apparel for you like a hat, mittens, scarf, whatever you like. Or, if your mum knits or crochets perhaps she could use the yarn. The only thing is that I live in the USA and you would have to send the fluff to me. Oh, and I could blend the fluff with some silk to make it stronger and a bit softer if you like.
We took our husky to a groomer every 4 weeks. I kept us from having to do this. Plus she didn't shed her fur all over our house. It was nice.
So much fluff comes off K’ey at one time!! Amazing!! Wonder how often he gets brushed like that? Those lick mats are so clever and helpful. Wish I’d known about them when I had my American Eskimo pup!

Think about being too warm in the springtime, and then taking off a heavy wool sweater. That's what it's like for a canine. It was so sweet to see key active and playful. It was a sign of how good he felt without all that extra fluff. I think he was a happy boy and grateful, but might have been too cool to come right out and say so! Hope both of you are well and headed toward a wonderful springtime!

It is, as you say, amazing how much that fluff compresses down! You could save it and make him a new bed - you but I'm sure the birds would love it for nest lining. I think Key likes having it done really, especially his belly! He looked at you like he wanted you to carry on there!
Yes, birds do love the fluff for nesting. My next door neighbor brushes her Bear out side and just lets the fluff fly. when I was a teen (oh, so many years ago) we had a Spitz and after brushing and combing her, I would take her fluff outside and tuck it in bushes in the yard.... and in a short time, it would be gone from the birds taking ti for nesting. Heck, I remember seeing squirrels taking it too.
