Knot Stitch | Knitting Tutorial (Continental style) (2023)

This video shows you how to knit the knot stitch.
Not reversible.
8 row repeat.
Cast on a multiple of 6 stitches plus 5 stitches.
8-repeat rows:
Row 1 (RS): Knit.
Row 2 (WS): Purl
Row 3 (RS): K1, *Make knot, K3*, repeat from * to last 4 stitches, make knot, K1.
Row 4 (WS): Purl.
Row 5 (RS): Knit.
Row 6 (WS): Purl.
Row 7 (RS): K4, Make knot, K3, repeat from * to last stitch, K1.
Row 8 (WS): Purl.
Knot = Purl 3 together, leaving them on the left needle. Knit same 3 together, and leave them on the left needle. Then purl the same 3 together stitches again before finally dropping them from left needle.

Very similar movements, yes, but instead of making 1 stitch into 3, you make 3 into...3, but with a little pazzaz
