    Thanks. I had replaced the other lines and gaskets but didn't know about the rear line. I have to go back and change it, as I now have a new leak.

    Replacing that plastic pipe between the firewall and the engine was the single worst job I've ever had to do on a car.

      True, there is no room to lose or tight the bolt, but the easiest way to replace it is to use the very small 1/4 swivel magnet 10mm socket

    Dealing with the same issue, mechanic recommended replacing all the lines and coolant pump -.-

      Yup its better to replace them all than you do the bad one now and pay labor one time Instead of keeps coming back and back more labor more money

    The heater manifold the one that's at the back of the engine, did you have to add gaskets or does the new part come with them already installed?

      Any part comes with its seal or gasket

    How you get the bolt from that leaking coolant pipe man the passenger side bolt is hard to get too

      I use 1/4 long and short flex ratchet also 1/4 snap on long dr ratchet cordless with 10mm swivel socket 1/4

    Very disappointed in Jag for using garbage plastic. But ive realized even high end GM and Ford do the same thing. Engineered to fail after a number of hot and cold cycles. Mfgr gets to sell parts and labor.
    Im in the proces of replacing the same crap parts. Fortunatly my son does cnc work. Were working on prototype replacements in aluminum.

      All manufacturers use useless plastic pipes. Smh. The plastic is not cheaper than metal pipes. They justify the use.

      @@hanitwfik ,did they make one? I got mine from the dealer, when it went bad Landrover replaced it under parts warranty, the third time i replaced it I took it to landrover to check it, they told me I had a bad radiator

      If you had switched to waterless coolant, you wouldn't have had to do that. The issue is the pressure in the cooling system can get up to an incredible 30psi. That's about the same as a car tire, yet these are plastic pieces. Waterless coolant doesn't have water to expand, so there is close to 0psi at all times.

      I tried waterless coolant 10 years ago when I had my l322, i would do it again but the price has gone up so much

      @@adrianjimenez3614 How much does a new water pump job cost? Less than waterless coolant. And how much does a warped head cost or dropped valve seats. And since its lifetime, it doesn’t really cost much more than regular coolant.

    This came up in my feed, maybe because I was watching WatchJRgo replace his F-Type engine. But he replaced those plastic pipes with alloy ones for this reason before they failed.

    I have a 2012 Jaguar XF Base 5.0. I'm having the same issue. I replaced the water pump, and Engine Outlet Tube, but I still have a leak. Based on my model and year what do you believe what hoses may be cracked, with part number? Thank You

      To be honest I told the customer if you want me replace the bad parts only I'm ok if I recommend to replace all of them because with the new parts the pressure blow the older ones so I prefer to replace all the coolant pipe hoses while everything is a parts already you don't wanna pay extra labor again

      @@knife5408 it's so easy for manifold only it took me like 15 to 20 minutes to remove. Hoses pipes if you planing replaced them all it will just take approx 2 hours max

    I have a huge leak below the firewall/between the trans and engine. Am i looking at the same crossover pipe for the 2009? Doesn't show on any manuals online. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance

      Most definitely, yes. But just change all the plastic. Every last piece. It's all end of life on a 14 year old Jag. Replacing one part at a time would be silly.

    Easy job. I charge 300 dollars for labor. 2 to 3.hour job. And parts. 100 dollars for both. Ill get you aluminum cross over pipe extra $50. Ill get you aluminum mandifold heater flange for the back.

      @rolandmitchell7964 I'm in compton. You can actually can do it. Why you have to replace the lines? What lines? The coolant line from radiator to the manifold? They do become fragile. I also replace it. Easy work

    I could not clearly see the part numbers for the pipe between the cylinders and back by the tranny, long box, and is it possible to change without removing the Intakes

      Hello that part between the cylinders is the only one has about 6 or 7 different part numbers so you either took the part out and get the number or call the dealer and give them the vin number and they look it up for you

      On many cars today, you just have to suck it up to remove the intake to do a lot of projects. It's just not that hard. Do it.

      @@hanitwfik I had a low coolant light come on.. took it to the dealership and they topped it off. Then drove it rhe next morning and performace restricted popped up on the dash. Getting a few PO 300 codes.
