@@eggggg00 cyber dragon is a tier 2 rogue deck, means it's strong deck just requires a lot of execution and brainpower than tier 1 to be correctly played in competitive level, or i could say unforgiving if you made a mistake like picking up the wrong interaction.

I just love it when Joey nearly pronounces the german words correctly especially fünf (which can be hard for english speaking people), I know his father is like of german decent but still.
Rammstein begin their song "Sonne" by counting 1 to 10 in German. I think many people learn from that.
If you also grew up playing First Person Shooter in early 2000s, they are mostly World War 2 shooters before Call of Duty went Modern Warfare in 2007. We learn to speak some basic Germans, like counting 1 to 10 and commands like "Los", "Vorwärts", "Alles klar", or "Ja wohl" from it.

a yugioh tcg trashtaste special would be cool, where you guys could get some amount of time to get comfortable with the game training at locals or getting a more expierinced player to train u guys like the chess special, and have b03 games with eachother to see who comes at the top.

I think it would be easier/more comfortable to just play Master Duel. They would still need to "train" and/or learn from a more experienced player, but it would make it easier to play with randos as practice and it would also be easier for recording.

The value of Yugioh cards isn't necessarily based on its rarity. It's also how good the card itself is and how often it's used in competitive play. It also depends on the condition and age (which pack it came from).
It's both.
A lot of the Legacy cards have value even when they aren’t used in comp as well. But true a lot of the money is if the card is practical in comp or not.

@@wowzee what exactly is legacy? cause I have old starter deck cards like dark magician that are 70 cents while newer i guess rarer printings where like $20 when I was looking to sell of my old cards. my view of expensive cards has been warped by MTG though and their laughably bad reprint policy and blatant price gouging

The Gustav Max artwork is not available in the West because of its "realistic depiction" of guns, so they changed it to a toy gun in countries outside of Japan.
it is actually avaialble no but only through ots stores when you spend $30 or more in sealed product to sort of support the local yugioh shop

So today, I got up from my Cyber Dragon bed, went to the Cyber Dragon kitchen and ate a Cyber Dragon sandwich, afterwards I took my Cyber Dragon dog for a Cyber Dragon walk and played YuGiOh with my Cyber Dragon friends, using a Cyber Dragon deck.

If you ever find a lucky bag of Weiss Schwarz you should try it. It is a TCG that uses art from anime maybe you get cards for your H-collection. And the prices of signed cards can get crazy

Lmao Joey, price doesn't go by card name, it goes by set release. You could have totally worthless cards or get big money, it depends on the code to the left in between the art box and the text box

@@catgod1433 I mean it's at 1 in Master Duel, and literally nobody talks about it. I've won some games with it though; obviously it's very powerful.
@@Dantelor Master Duels Meta is a literal circus of Power Creep considering we have stuff like Maxx C and Heroic Champion Rhongomyniad. Also, yes it's powerful, but in your own words, you've won "some games", whereas Maxx C, 5 Material Rhongo, as well as several other power cards and hand traps usually win all games unless the opponent either has an equally as broken card, or such an absurd amount of advantage that they couldn't lose. Thunder Dragon Colossus unfortunately loses pretty easily to Dark Ruler No More, Forbidden Droplet, Evenly Matched, Any Kaiju, and the list goes on. TCG, it would most likely be equally as power crept, and in Master Duel, it's better to just sometimes use in with the Nemeses Corridor engine rather than build a deck around it like Pure or Chaos Thunder Dragons do

That structure deck ain't too bad. The impermenace and lightning storm carry the deck to an insane price. The best structure decks though are still gonna be shaddoll,Dino,dragon link one, salamangreat and of course the current tier 1/0 dominating the format rn. Albaz fusion one
I hope Joey gets into Yu Gi Oh like he got into Mahjong. Although I heard that the new Yu Gi Oh rules are complicated af.
you could def adapt. the game is pretty fun, u can even try the new master duel game to get comfortable with the rules.

Its not really that complicated if you can read and even thats optional most yugioh players can barely read.

On the remark of "evolving", OTK unescapable lock and board locks is clearly (at least to me an certain others) it does NOT make for a passing of any resemblance of a good time or "GL/HF" moments... If anything it is a devolution. But if others are still able to find fun in such endeavours, have at them.

You should always just check ebay / whatever prominent online shop is in your region. Search what you want and then filter it to "Sold items" only.
This will give you the best market value for anything. Other websites usually overcharge (especially something like TCG where their entire thing is just selling cards at a max value because they can)
middle man does middle man things, the quality guarantee is nice on tcg though.
Most of the reputable "price" websites for TCGs don't actually sell the cards themselves though. Their main userbase is meant to be the game stores that deal with secondhand cards.

If joey finds out about the world legacy archetype. I think he is going to love these card. For anyone who doesn't know: World legacy is a Full connected story of 4 or five archetypes that is explained in the artwork. Basically its a full anime in 4 archetypes.
The Duel Terminal lore arc is way better imo, but I think Joey would like World Legacy more. More... animey

Man that cyber deck/cyber dark deck is what I'm playing right now! Haha it was so amusing seen cards that I played yesterday in Joey's hands right now! Loved every second of it.
Also for everyone who wants to know a little of the history of that deck. It was originally released around 2006 in a set called cyberdark impact, a set that is still consider by many as one of the worse sets ever. Then, the original cyberdarks (heel, horn, edge, and cyberdark dragon) were laughably bad specially compared against cyber dragon, one of the cards that broke Yugioh. In a later set, almost 10 years later there was a set of legacy support for cyberdarks but, in the end it was not relevant to make the deck playable in the tcg (however it did saw some success in Yugioh Duel Links). Finally, not to long ago, the OCG made a pool to decide archetypes to give support as an structure deck and, cyber dark would end up in second place getting this deck that joey has right now!
Nowadays, cyber darks are not a meta deck however, they have seen one of two tops in recent times. Also they're quite cheap to build and not a complex at all, meaning it's a deck quite welcoming for begginers or returning players. That's in my opinion an excellent fate for a deck that when originally released was consider unplayable by the majority of players.
Modern Yugioh player here: (I play TCG (English side) but I guess same thing apply in Japan as well)
Actually, those 100Y cards are probably worth nothing. It is listed that price because it is sold in store and it must have a base price (in this case 100Y for NP, and 30Y for common I guess). Most of them are crap and no one play them so no one are going to buy it from you. Most of the time it end up in the "common bulk".
The one actually worth keeping is the one that has higher than the base price, ex 150Y and above.
Yeah, a lot of his bulk can't be easily liquidated or traded off so they might as well be not worth anything. Such is the trading card game secondary market.

Yuyutei is really the most reliable source for japanese cards. I got to know it from the japanese version of the Anime TCG Weiß Schwarz. I think you could have some fun with this TCG as well. Besides the fact, that you don't have the powercreep of Yu-Gi-Oh or the rotating cards like in Magic/Pokémon, you could have fun with your Oshino Shinobu-Waifu-Deck or just go nuts with the Golden WInd-Set and still have a real chance of winning against meta-decks. Also... you could get shiny hot-stamped cards with the signature of your favourite seiyu... that sounds pretty much like I was paid to write this, but I assure you, I'm the one who paid for it with his soul.
Maybe Joey should try Master Duel and make a Cyber Dragon deck :)

Generally speaking the best way to price cards is to check the recently sold prices on eBay, other sites aren't always up to date
